Okay, so `vertMB dared me to draw a pony I mentioned in a journal conversation, where the unicorn horn is on the ass end instead of on the face end.The first thing I did was this [link] But then I thought about it and wondered what it would be like to imagine it without snickering like an idiot.
So, this pony here was born with her horn on the wrong end. It can still emit magic, but is completely uncontrollable and totally random in both activation and effect.
So she is imprisoned in a padded cell that magic cannot escape from.
Also, her fur and mane colour change constantly. Which is why her current colours are so hideous.
The more I think about it the more I want to do a 1 or 2 panel comic about this.
But that will be much later.
I only managed to do this because my friend told me to, he did something similar that I dared him to do, and I need to do something productive in between bouts of Skyrim, and this seemed easy and quick enough. Still working on non pony art, but it's much more complex and difficult, so it's taking longer. Man, ponies are easy and fun to draw.

By the way, I'm still working on the first sketch, it's just taking longer than I thought it would because I sat down to do it and then realised I had no idea how to draw Rarity's dress and different mane style. And Griffins.

That actually seems like it could be a pretty epic ally, if its not like entirely random; emotion guided or something, mind of its own trope maybe, temperature sensitive idk. But its her facial expression that gets me the most. At first I thought perhaps she felt ashamed because ponies can be cruel when your horns on your butt, labeling you "hornbutt" for instance, but you guys make it as if its the random magic that has her down, which is a lot less heart piercing but interesting none-the-less. As far as art style goes I love it. Its simple, expressive, highlights the important points, being her face and... her butt i suppose.
P.S. I love the fact that she's floating butt first, thats actually mega funny.

It is totally random, she has no control over it. I've been wanting to make a gif of her sitting there, as the magic keeps doing stuff around and to her. Like giving her an afro, changing her colours (the purple and green aren't her real colours) or making her look like an living abstract painting. Or turning the air into a bees.
She would have been taunted as a filly, but that was before her horn activated.
Now, she begrudgingly accepts it, having lost any hope that it would stop on its own. But it's still annoying.

I love how you actually gave a sort of history to her. I could actually see her existing in the cartoon's universe. Very amusing on the surface, but also quite sad for her when you think about it

Exactly, when it was suggested by my friend, I laughed, but then I couldn't stop thinking about how tragic it really is. I'd love to make a little picture book story about it, but I can't think of anything that isn't sad. Nor can I think of a happy ending. I thought maybe Twilight could be sent to investigate, being the magical prodigy she is, but that's as far as I got.

I still need to make up a proper bio for her. she was really just a dare that grew into something more.
Although I did think she'd be a full grown blank flank because she was never able to find her special talent, with a malfunctioning horn.
And she has a real name. I don't know what it is yet. Let's say Hornbutt is a nickname.
I'm trying to think up a story that isn't horribly tragic, because that's all my mind keep going to...
I keep thinking her horn turned her parents into wooden rocking horses, which is kinda funny in a grimdark sort of way.

I love that you went back and did something more creative with this, I always think your stupid stuff is your best stuff, you really need to push the stupid!

For the love of me though, I can't think how it would be anything but tradegy. A horn that is randomly and uncontrollably altering and messing with things. Imagine your meals all of a sudden become sentient and start dancing around, or you wake up and your bed has been turned into five thousand wind up toys. Or someone you know is turned into a chicken egg which splats on the floor.
Push the stupid? I did the stupid one first, I linked to it in my comment. Though, I uploaded it into scraps, because it was really is just a five minute stupid drawing.
Oh god Skyrim is so fun and immersive and addictive. Luckily, I made the decision to play it in the living room (well, mostly because of the huge tv and surround sound), that way, when the parents return from work, I have to stop playing it. I still play it for about 7 hours though. How on earth employed people are supposed to beat this game I cannot fathom.
But hopefully I should get some art done in the time between dinner and bed. If I played the game in my room nothing would get done. For at least a solid month, probably more.
