It seems strange such a beauty could have been married to such a madman, still, I 'spose he was the best available at the time, power wise... Beautiful painting by the way.

Ha ha ha ha! " The best available at the time"! You are incredible! In fact, Akhenaton was horrible, but he knew what is a good thing... like Nefertiti and his artists.

And he fathered Tutankhamen, so he's good for something.

But.... Tutankhamon was very bad for his father. Destroyed all the signs of the religions founded by him, the adoration to the Sun, unique god. For the artists, like in the case of Akhenaton, was wonderful.

Oh , you have a brother so briliant as you! Yes, Akhenaton was beautiful with all his deformations. I recommend to you ( and your brother ) a remarkable book - Treasures of Egypt - from de Museum of Cairo, magnificents photos of Araldo De Luca.

Thank you, April. Nefertiti is really very pretty. I have a book about the Egypt with four or five statues of her. Beautiful, beautiful. Her husband no, was horrible. Cleopatra is famous for her beauty and inteligence, but I never saw a beautiful portrait of her.
