Short Description: Lass, better known as Big L., is very large and built thick. She has a darkish brown coat and darker red-brown 'sweater' over her head, neck, shoulders and half her spine. She has duel-colored eyes, one blue and one green. Lass has a long face from Collie breeding and the ears to match. Her tail is usually down and not curled. Fluffy, she is made to suffer through the coldest of terrains.

Personality: Big L. is a lazy son of a gun but she loves to run on the sled. She loves to eat and is very gluttonous with food. [Big L. has a habit of stealing away the first cuts of steak from the butcher, which drives the poor guy up the wall!] She is very mellow and nothing sets her off really, except if you try taking food from her bowl. A empty food bowl leads to a grumpy Big L usually, if not always. Other than that, you can pull on her ears, bite her tail, push her around, and she does absolutely nothing to retaliate. There isn't a mean bone in her body. Big L. is sort of a derp in that way. She does slobber a lot and is very much a people and dog person. Big L. likes to play and is content with her position in life as a postal service sled dog. Sure, she likes to watch the professional race dogs run but she doesn't envy them either. Big L. is something of a gossip, always liking to know what's going on around in town. She always means no harm however.

Background: Lass was born in Nome to a Collie/husky mother in a litter of four. She never knew her father but it didn't bother Big L. Big L. never felt the need to care about it, since she was happy and healthy. It was a good time to be alive. When she turned eight weeks old, Lass and her siblings were adopted out to various homes. Lass ends up with Nome's local postal services ran by a middle-aged guy called Aklaq. He has a team of dogs and handles the journey from town-to-town, delivering mail despite the rugged danger. He trains Lass to be on this team and she grows to fit the role perfectly as one of his swing dogs. To this day, she runs with Aklaq's Postals, as his service is nicknamed.
