Description My friends came over to visit one evening and I said to myself, SELF, WHY DON'T YOU SHOW THEM YOUR MASK YOU JUST FINISHED?

So I did. They took pictures of me.

This mask is light to wear, moves easily along with the head, and causes no physical discomfort. It is easy to see and breathe out of, sturdy, and alarming to passersby. The process, from cardboard triangle to completed bird head, took about five days. The head is about 20 inches long, made of cardboard, newspaper, and masking tape covered with papier mache and then acrylic paint.

I'm making more and will have better photos of this one up soon.

Alarming? The vulture head is obviously smiling. D< I'd probably come hug you if I saw you on the street.

I'd ask if you see out the mouth, but it seems a little low for that, and the hole thing seems a little high...
So my guess is the bulge before the tip of the beak. Dx

You see out of both the mouth and nares. It's hard to understand unless you actually put it on.

Having a really cool studio where these things are always hung up and in progress would be nice.

I also thought it would be a really interesting conceptual piece to have everyone living on a specific road that gets a moderate amount of traffic wear a different, creepy mask and be doing normal things out in the yard. Whenever anyone drives by, however, they all look up and follow the car with their creepy inanimate faces. It'll probably never happen, but it would be awesome.
