Description
Due to magic/time travel/comicbook reasons, Dane Whitman, The Black Knight, accidentally had his body turned to stone, meanwhile his spirit was sent back in time, possessing his ancestor, Sir Percy of Scandinavia, the original Black Knight. Make sense? Unfortunately, this meant he spent many years as an actual knight, fighting in The Crusades. We don't like to talk about this.
Anyway, due to more timey-wimey magic comicbook nonsense, Dane made his way back to the present day and his own body (actually, at some point, The Vision had shattered Dane's stone body when it came to life and went all crazy, lucky for Dane it fixed itself).
After a couple years on his own (I'm assuming in therapy), Dane came back to join his Avenger buddies. Along with his magic sword, the Ebony Blade (totally not a PornHub search), which was made from a special meteor, so it could cut through practically anything, and then somehow also cursed, so it craved the blood of the living. Fun!
