Just watched the finale of Korra! I loved it, but I know a lot of people didn't like some things about it, like how they didn't address the Equalists point of view. I have to agree that the Equalists have a point, they're just being too drastic about it.And young Tarrlok and Noatuk were so cute!
What did you guys think?
I love General Iroh(II), he kicks ass. I totally flipped out when he mentioned Zuko. XD

lol I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one obsessed with Zuko.
On shows or books like this where there is a sequel that takes place in the future, I love when old characters are referenced.

I still find it funny how Iroh's voice actor is the same as Zuko's. Now I'm kinda used to it, but still, ROFL.

lol it is pretty funny, because I can't think of anything other than Zuko when I hear it. I found this comic online about Iroh/Zuko's voice, it was called 'How Iroh's conversation should've gone' or something. It's my new webcam pic. XD
Yeah, I didn't expect her bending to come back so easily either. It just seemed... way too easy. But I'm also glad that it did, to skip all the angst that would've been in the second season otherwise. And I was so happy that she gave Lin her bending back, because Lin was the one that I was saddest about losing her bending.

I mean, I know that Korra would have to get her bending back eventually, since you know, she's the avatar, but still. I also liked how Lin got her bending back, because as you said, hers was definitely the saddest to go. She's such an honorable character. :'D

I wonder what will happen in the second season now? They better explain more about Amon and how he took people's bending and why. I was annoyed about that, because at the end it seemed pretty final, that Tarrlok killed both of them on the boat. But they didn't explain everything yet!

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. They said Amon took away the bending with some form of blood bending, but that's kinda vague.
I personally thought the suicide scene was very beautiful, with the music and the way a tear rolled down Amon's cheek just before Tarrlok killed themselves as though he knew what was about to happen. Made me sympathize a little bit, even though I still resent the two characters.

Yeah, I hope we learn more about the gaang lol. I really want to know who Lin's father is! The idea of Toph having a kid is still so weird to me... and OMG I can't wait to see more of Bumi the second! He was only in the last episode for ten seconds but I already like him more than the main characters.
I totally didn't expect Tarrlok to do that, but I really respect him for it. I'm sad though because I actually liked Tarrlok. He used to remind me of Lucius Malfoy, but after that scene I realized he was a much stronger person than malfoy.

I KNOW RIGGHTTT?? Some people think she got together with Sakka, but I kinda doubt it. (I wonder if Sakka married/had kids?) I LOVE BUMI. You're mistaken, he has 3 seconds of screen time. I counted.
I don't like Tarrlok, but I do seriously respect him now. At least he came through in the end, I guess. I just thought the scene of their deaths was really well done.

I think Sokka and Toph together would be kinda awkward, and it'd be more just a funny pairing than anything. Not much chemistry between them, I think.

I agree that the last episode was a bit rushed. The first chunk was definitely my favorite. But I'm also comparing the end of the FIRST season finale to the LAST season finale of The Last Airbender.

I was actually quite pleased with the finale for the last season finale of the Last Airbender. There was the big epic battle with lots of dramatics involved and then the war ends. Buuutttt, in Korra lots of things felt a bit rushed for me. Also the whole Makorra thing wasn't executed very well. Though I also thought that Kataang in TLA wasn't executed terribly well either.

I hated the whole Kataang... just because the whole season was Zuka and Katara... -shrug- DeviantArt agrees with me.
But I suppose they are planning this season by season so they had to solve everything for the current plots by the last episode.
Maybe we are both nit-picky I thought the beginning of the the finale was amazing. Not so much by the end (all of my friends want to shoot me for it).

I thought he was talking about the first Iroh. If Zuko was Iroh II's gradfather, he'd be (around) the same age as Aang's grandchildren Jinora and iki and Meloo. And he looks to be in his late twenties.

I think that the creators of Avatar and Korra said in an interview that he's Zuko's grandson, and that Zuko only had a daughter.
But going from the ages alone, I'd say he could be either a son or grandson. Cuz he's older than Aang's grandchildren but younger than Aang's son.
