Yeah, I think it tends to be that way with a lot of zoo photos. Especially if they're really obviously in a zoo.

I'm not sure why this one in particular was caged, really. There were actually quite a few kookaburras and tawny frogmouths just sitting around in trees and on logs out in the open air (not that I realised this until it was getting too dark for any of my photos to come out well

I think zoos, etc., are awesome for what they do (assuming they're not the shithole kind, anyway), but yeah, I can't help but think of them that way. Especially after seeing the way that some people acted around the animals at Featherdale - trying to force a kangaroo to eat bark, etc. Seriously, what the fuck gets into people's heads?!
