Description *spcefrk commented on my Feminist Stamp for Females [link] and asked, " Want to make one that says "Feminist refusing to say sorry for being male" ? " and at first I thought he was joking and Bunny was standing behind me looking over my shoulder and he said it was a great idea. So, I set up so they look IDENTICAL setup, except for the background color. So, Thanks for the great idea *spcefrk .

Why, should I otherwise apologize for not being Feminist? I support Equality for Women, but Feminism ( as any other -ism ) is the Extreme/Fanatic Side of Support, this doesn't mean ''Equality for Women'' but ''Women should Rule''.

A feminist is "an advocate or supporter of the rights and equality of women."
That is the literal, textbook definition of a feminist.

So if you support the equality of women, you are, in fact, a feminist. This doesn't mean that you hate everything with a penis, or that you're going to throw a hissy fit every time a woman is portrayed in sexy clothing, it just means that you support equal rights for women and that doesn't make you a fanatic.

Yes, there are crazy people who think women are the supreme gender, but that is NOT what feminism is supposed to be about. These kinds of people hide behind the title of feminism to justify hating men, like people who call themselves Christians to justify their hatred towards homosexuals.

Knowing the difference between the crazies and the true supporters is half the battle. Also, you shouldn't turn something away just because it ends with 'ism'. That's just silly, like fearing Buddhism and colloquialism or heroism.

My (male) English teacher was talking about Feminism in class and he seemed supportive, but said "I can't really be feminist, because, well... I'm a man." I was too chicken at the time to say anything, but that was such a stupid remark. My dad states he's one and I know other men who do too.

I feel bad for male feminist, everyone just assumes they're gay or sexist against men but all they really want is equality. So unfortunate.

If this is what you think, you're sadly misinformed about feminism. How else do you explain this ?

Thank you for leaving feedback, but as I told you before, Just because I use the term "Feminism" doesn't mean I'm running around with a group of women with pitch forks yelling at men. I'm not interested in discussing my beliefs with you anymore. I've said everything and a little more on how I feel.

Do not contact me anymore, or I will report you for harassment. I'm tired of telling you the same thing, over and over.

If you support the agenda of organised feminism, even by adopting to name feminist you might as well be running around with a pitchfork yelling at men. If you are for actual fair sexual equality for both genders then you are not a feminist, you are an equalist. If you believe that feminism is anything but misandric nonsense, then you are also not a feminist... I hate to be a dick and say this but those passive feminists are just gullible tools who agree with women lest the women in question shame him into silence.

Listen, look at the date stamp. Now look through my entire gallery. This is a STAMP, A STAMP, I MADE FOR A REQUEST. I am seriously getting sick of these comments, a million years later, about people trying to put me in a category. Leave me alone. Just for your adorable comment, I'm taking comments down. Congrats.

Actually you put you in a category when you made this stamp & put it on your page & that category was someone who has feminist rhetoric in there gallery page. You have this sort of thing in your gallery expect it to be commented on.

How about women supporting men's rights?

OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl In reply to loqutor [2011-07-19 04:40:25 +0000 UTC]

Feminists are supposed to do both, mate. Not that all of them do, but they're supposed to but oh, well. Can't win them, right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

loqutor In reply to OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl [2011-07-19 05:07:25 +0000 UTC]

Actually, most of them are working against men's rights. Jessica Valenti, for example, is pushing for the presumption of innocence to be revoked in rape cases.

I know and I'm sorry, but it's not like I can kill her for doing the wrong thing. People, men and women, are going to do bad things in the name of feminism the same way people do it in the name of religion or race. It's sad but true.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

loqutor In reply to OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl [2011-07-19 05:15:39 +0000 UTC]

I'm not asking you and the other "good" feminists to kill her, or anybody for that matter. I'm just saying that if you really are trying to make the world better for men and women, why don't you try cleaning house? Y'know, calling them out on their bullshit?

OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl In reply to loqutor [2011-07-19 05:20:42 +0000 UTC]

I wish I could, but no one (especially the media) really listens to the truth. They kind of focus on the bad publicity, you know?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

loqutor In reply to OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl [2011-07-19 05:29:31 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that is true. But just because the media doesn't pay attention to you initially doesn't mean you can't keep trying. I mean, look at how much the MRM has spread through the internet, backed by nothing but a few dedicated, unafraid individuals.

Good. I know I'm preaching against it all the time, but I don't actually want to see feminism destroyed. I want to see it restored to its original purpose, like it had in the days of Mary Wollstonecraft.

OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl In reply to loqutor [2011-07-19 06:06:45 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, now that was a feminist. I can't imagine how hard it was to be one back then, it must have been beyond brutal. Heck, women couldn't even vote yet and she was talking about stuff modern women don't even do still!

loqutor In reply to OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl [2011-07-19 06:29:17 +0000 UTC]

I never got a chance to read A Vindication for the Rights of Woman in full, but what I really gathered from what I did read of it was that she was opposed, above all else, to giving women any sort of preferential treatment for fear that it would weaken them.

And, she also made Rousseau look childish, idiotic, and self-contradictory. Not that he needed any help.

I always wonder, if women like Mary were around back then, how come it took so long to get some rights?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

loqutor In reply to OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl [2011-07-19 23:02:52 +0000 UTC]

It's because shortly after she published Vindication, she published her autobiography, in which she admitted that she'd had sex with her husband several times before they were married. Unfortunately, as people are wont to do, they demonized her ideas because they didn't approve of her life decisions. Too bad; Vindication was actually quite popular for that short period between the books' publication.

OneCrazyAssWhiteGirl In reply to loqutor [2011-07-19 23:16:33 +0000 UTC]

Ah, what? As if she was the first to sleep with someone before marriage. Big shocker. But back then everyone was a prude, too bad. She was a great role model for women of the time.

Yeah, it is stupid. I personally have not engaged in premarital sex (I'm still not sure if my incident with a stripper really counts), but I have no problem with people who do, just as long as they're smart about it.
