Storm's heart had stopped when he saw the lifeless, yellow body laying on the ground. He never thought he'd see the tiny feline he'd dubbed Titus again, and for a few moments, he thought that he might be dead. He didn't notice when he ran to Titus' side, didn't register that time had passed. All that mattered was that there was a slight rise and fall to the wounded cat's chest. All that mattered was that for this moment, he was still alive. But not for long if nothing was done.

Storm heard himself pleading, begging, Lamia to take pity on this cat. Back when he was still trapped in the fighting pits, he'd made a promise to himself to look after Titus as best he could--and the undersized feline needed help now, perhaps more than ever before in his short life.

Then the healer had agreed, and sped ahead to ready her den for Titus' arrival. Storm picked the yellow cat up as gently as he would have a baby bird. "Hold on," he whispered. "You're almost home."
