Thank you...it's a little of everything. It started as graphite, then I used charcoal for the deeper black areas like the hair. Then I used a fixative and after that, touched it up with a little mars black and titanium white acrylics. Once I uploaded it into the computer, I used digital brushes to "clean up" the piece so it looks spiffy. That's pretty much the formula for when I do these black and white drawings although sometimes I can get away with just drawing in charcoal and leave it be......sometimes.

Roddy is one of my favorite actors, and this looks so much like him. I usually use graphite pencils and color pencils for my sketches. Now and then, I will do a painting.

Thank you....as I always say, getting the right reference photo to draw or paint from is half the battle.

Yes, it is. I also check to see what other artists did, so I do not copy the same image.
