Wow. This is truly an excellent piece of art. That time you put in was definitely worth it. I liked the original, simplistic version, but this is better.
Let's see.. I'll start with the background. It's beautiful, just like the starry sky with no lights to dim it. You must have spent a lot of time looking at the stars c: However, it does look almost like it belongs in the summertime. Maybe if the colours were desaturated a little bit, it would be just perfect.
And now the pony. She channels November in a very harvest-y way. I love the colour scheme, and I really and truly like her mane e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/lā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="LOL"/> The eyelashes look very realistic, and the fur is great. I love how clearly you can see it overlapping the necklace, and the overall shagginess suggests that it is indeed fall and the pony has grown her 'winter coat' to keep warm until spring. There are a couple places that could use some tiny highlights, though, and her ears seem a bit big. The snout could use a little bit of tweaking as well, and the tears don't seem very realistic. Perhaps a little more transparency to them c:
That's about it. Overall a very good piece, and it looks like you executed your idea well. Great job!

Yay, my first real critique! My real life friends did a few, but they didn't give me any pointers on how I could do better.
Actually, I've just been on a lot of road trips, and we take the back roads and drive at night. I get a lot of opportunities to see the sky like that, so I just tried to copy it how I rememebered. And thanks, I thought it looked weird to. I'll go back and desaturate it a little~
Originally, you couldn't see it overlapping. the necklace layer is above the fur layer, so I didn't really know how to do it. Took a while to think to use the smudge tool. xD
Huh. Didn't notice that the ears were too big. Oh well, that's something I can't change now.
Where do you think I could change the snout? That's something I can fix, so, yeah.
Ok, I'll change the opacity of that! I didn't really think of that either.

Glad to make you happy and help you out!
And about the snout. I did a crappy sketch of it, with the snout sort of how it is and with the snout sort of how it could be. It's crappy because I don't have my tablet at my grandparents' DX [link]

FFFF- Why are you so amazing?!
I blame Dr. Phil. Eeyup.
But, it's beautiful, and this should be on the front page. ^^

I also blame Dr.Phil. xD
I doubt it'll be on the front page. Most things get on the front page within like 30 minutes. :c
It might have if it was a show pony. I probably won't get anywhere just drawing OCs.

I've actually sketched it out like 3 times because I was going to redo it, but then forgot. xD
