I love writing stories: one of them is a Fantasy, whose the main character, princess Tereza, has a wonderful horse named Pírko. She is not able to speak with him, but they both understand thoughts of their friend.*EDITED 4/4/2009* I am afraid of art thieves, so I added my signature. I can very easily prove, that this picture was really made by me. This picture belongs to me and nobody is allowed to use it. Please, respect it

I'm not able to make such great illustrations... and I have to make a English childen's book for my studies -.- I'm very good at drawing things (at least this is what others say) but when it comes to simple, for children suitable drawings, I'm totally untalented and I lack of creativity :/
I'm not sure yet how I will fulfil that task
but really your pictures are great, really a pity they're not as popular as your phots!

Nice!! I'd agree with the stirrup thing that people are saying But maybe the stirrup slipped down while the horse was rearing. great job!! Oh and if she's riding western then there should be a horn (knob like thing on the front of the saddle) but if it's English you don't have to change anything

to add on to the bit about her stirrups, you also should know that there needs to be a girth around his belly so the saddle stays on. try looking at pictures of a saddled horse to get a better idea. also, add a browband and throatllatch to the bridle. one more thing, her hands shouldn't be holding the reins on either side of the horse's neck, they should be a few inches apart and directly in front of her stomach. otherwise, with the way she's holding them now, if he were to stop rearing she would be leaning really far forward.

actually in the above link the horse is using a flash noseban (the one around his mouth) which you dont need to draw

its a pretty drawing, the only thing wrong is she's in her stirrups incorrectly. the ball of the foot should be in the stirrup, not the heel. her foot should be behind it, not in front of it. just a correction to keep in mind for future drawings
