Description
This is one of ten pieces I did for the new Star Wars Essential Guide to Warfare. I had a blast working on it and I'm excited that I am able to contribute to the Star Wars universe.I will be posting them in the order of sequence as it appears in the book. Hope you guys enjoy them!
Mandalore the Ultimate standing of his Basilisk War Droid rousing his troops; Neo-crusaders made up of humans, taungs(original Mandalorians) and various other alien species. I see this scene taking place just before their all out offensive against the Old Republic which they almost defeated if it wasn't for the intervention of the Jedi under Revan and Malak.

The taung where still kicking at the time of Mandalore the Ultimate. The last of them died by time Ordo became mandalore.

Β Heh, they look like a bunch of modern vikings about to go on a siege. I love how they are firing their blasters in the air, like a bunch of trigger happy maniacs! I'm sure if the Klingons lived in the Star Wars universe, they'd have loved to be here, to participate in glorious combat!
Β Good thing the Jedi were there to stop them. They don't look like the bunch who would necessarily have business continue as usual.

Yeah, one race of honorable warriors and a culture of honorable warriors. It is pretty obvious that they would join forces to fight those that they see as an honorable challenge.

It would go like this:
- Both learn of eachother.
- Both declare war on eachother.
- Both wage a bloody war against one another.
- They both realize it's too tough to handle.
- They get drunk.
Β - they have an awkward the-morning-after conversation.
- They become the closest allies in history.
- The Galaxy trembles.

I would say Cathar, but seeing as the Mandalorians had recently tried to exterminate them... probably not. Β Bothan maybe? I haven't seen them too much so it might be them.

accurate species too for the most part, Mandellian Giants and those furry guys (cant remember) were amongst the earliest prominant races allowed into the culture.
