Description
She asked for "Italy." She was probably thinking along the lines of Venice. But you know what? Venice is boring as heck in black and white graphite. And I like mountains. So I gave her the Italian Alps. Don't look too hard; you may find the picture I went off of to draw this in realistic beauty, as faded as it is these days. This was actually drawn for the birthday of a close friend in the summer of 2011. I drew a third of those trees on the right and got so bored of drawing every freaking tree that I finished the entire rest of the background-mountains and all, before I came back to finish those bloody trees. After all these years, I still like how those moutains came out, but the trees in the foreground faded too much before I'd finished and were tricky to restore.
