Anywho, this is a commission for *Spowzer , who requested her character Spazz Koopa and Kool Koopa staring into each other's eyes while looking innocent and blushy and dark and sinister, respectively.

So if you're wondering, yes, I am open for commissions. At any given time it's safe to assume I'm open to commissions, especially if you're patient with when the final results will be delivered. The biggest question is what you're willing to pay. The sky's the limit for complexity and quality as long as the money's worth the time it'll take. If you're interested, note me for further discussion.

Regarding the image itself, aside from being my first dA commission, this is also my first image started and finished in SAI. Seems like all the cool kids are using SAI these days and I desperately want to be cool so I gave it a shot. It's definitely a solid product but so far I feel like I'm doing very little with it I couldn't in Photoshop. If anybody out there is a big SAI fan though and would like to talk SAI technique or knows some good SAI painting resources though, I'd be glad to hear it. Or even general digital painting discussion is good, I'm still not nearly as good at that as I'd like to be. There are some god tier Japanese digital painters I wish to paint like, but getting details on their technique isn't easy. However, my best guess is that their impressively non-digital feeling digital paintings use very few layers, and as such, this image's experiment was using only one layer for the characters. It's still far from what they do, but practice practice practice.
