I have a dark blue with white flecks? I also might have enough of this green to do another.

In terms of jewelry not much anymore. Sometimes rings, but I find they need to be taken off frequently either because what I'm doing is very, very messy or because of the way they snag on things. Bracelets also have the annoying habit of getting snagged on various objects. I don't do earrings (I've no piercing of any kind). Since I've discovered that wearing my hair short is more aesthetically pleasing I keep it short--making the fancy hairpins etc. useless. I used to wear necklaces all the time but at some point several years ago it felt like I was being choked whenever I put one on (even if it was so loose that the pendant was half way down my chest).
But I can appreciate beautiful objects when I see them.

Nice! I never thought about Corian for carving, but that's just beautiful.

Corian is great to carve. Soft enough to be fairly fast, hard and tough enough to take nice levels of detail. I get all of mine as free scraps from a local place.
(If you want to try some, just go ask if you can dumpster dive for scraps for art stuff at your local countertop installer. They likely will.)

I've been working antler with a bench grinder outdrive to a rotary tool, but will be upgrading to a Foredom pretty soon . . . and I have construction contacts! Thanks!

For stone, wood and other stuff like that, I suggest the Foredom THX model. Most aren't actually designed to handle constant-on type use, just quick on/off type uses. The THX is designed to handle the constant on and high load situations for hours on end that we carvers need. I've had mine about a year now and I LOVE it. Be sure to get the handpiece with the Jacobs chuck so you can use any bit or drill bit you want, without dealing with collets. (I frequently use #53 drill bits with mine, no problem.)

Ah, run away from ebay. Right now. Really.
Go get yours from [link] - They are a direct Foredom distributor, which means that they honor Foredom's warranty, and their customer service is absolutely UNMATCHED.
You may find it cheaper on ebay, but there will be no support if you need it.
For a carver, a Foredom isn't just another tool. It will become your FAVORITE tool, the one you might just grab before heading out if your shop was on fire....And you will want the security of a company that stands behind what they sell. (They also have very knowledgeable staff to answer questions.)
My THX was in a freak batch that somehow shipped without the silencer springs- they replaced it twice for me, for free, free shipping, then put me in contact with Foredom's National Sales Manager when Rio and I could not figure out why I was getting so much vibration. Foredom proved to be just as good with their customer service- Mike (the sales manager) had me send it on another call tag (free shipping) directly to him, and after he stood over a tech while taking it apart found that the spring was missing and sent me a new one with the spring, and contacted Rio to track down the others from that batch. None of this cost me a DIME. You do not get that kind of service from ebay sellers.

Those are actually some good prices! A Jackson or two for factory service is honestly no big deal and well worth it . . . now I know where my first post-Yule bonus check is going, lol.
