GUH. I died of epic at this part. She became ten times more hardcore than she already was.

Although, I did think that the finale wrapped things up a little too nicely. I would have liked more suspense to tie me over slash drive me insane between seasons. I mean, Korra lost her bending for like ten minutes and then had it back again. It was a bit too easy of a fix for my liking, although I still loved the episode. It would have been cool if maybe.....say, she could Airbend, and if she went into Avatar state she could bend all the elements, but she had to work harder and longer to get all of her bending back. Or something.

Yeah same here. A few minutes before the ending I was thinking 'I guess I know what the second season is going to be about' and in the very end 'No I don't' I agree that there could be a little more dramatical ending but in the end I like this one too. And Bryke obviously decided that sacrifice of Tarrlok is enough of drama.

they did that because LoK was only going to be one season they made the other season because of us fans yelling at them

Great gif, but she isn't a fully-realized Avatar yet....

Thanks
Doesn't "fully realized Avatar" mean mastering four elements and the Avatar State?

Yes. So to be fully-realized she has to be able to go into the Avatar state at will (which she can't do yet) as well as master all four elements, and she still has to master air.

Still a nice gif.

Wait, but she did go to the Avatar state at will, when returning bending to Lin, didn't she? Or maybe I'm getting something wrong _O:

Thanks

I don't think that was at will. I think that was a result of energy-bending Lin. Which I don't think is necessarily at will.

That's just my opinion.

...I hope that's not it. I thought it was just a result of energybending (because Aang gave her that ability). I could be wrong of course.

As I understood it from A:tLA "fully realized Avatar" means mastered four elements and the Avatar State. I guess Korra just did. A little more practicing in airbending mb but anyway.

DarkMistress48 In reply to X-u-h-a [2012-06-25 16:42:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, she's going to need more practice on airbending for a bit, and most likely that'll be a breeze, but in regards with the Avatar State Korra might need a bit more time. She just found that she could enter it, but she'll also need learn to control it at will (as in not having Aang assist her like he did and not letting the Avatar State go haywire like it can so easily). This will most likely pop in during season two.

Other than this, pretty crazy finale, eh? If you asked me it was wonderful, but also a bit too....perfect?

That's indeed because the first season was intended to be the only one at first. But it seemed to me personally that this finale was even less brief than that of ATLA. Each time I watch last minutes of "Avatar Aang" episode I feel like just TOO MUCH was dropped out - things directly unimportant to the main story but that still could make it look more complete. Finale of LOK seems somehow better at this point.
But yeah, we indeed could use a little more drama, right?
