This extremely chill turtle just kept sticking by me, so naturally I kept taking photos of her. She was a rather large turtle, which I guess did wonders for her confidence.Photo taken at Hanauma Bay, Oahu.

How can you tell if they are male or female? Size? Females in the herp world usually are bigger.

In this case the males tend to be bigger. Males also have longer tales and an indent on their stomachs. I've seen very large females, but I've seen an almost impossibly huge male as well.

Will it be strange if someone tells their favorite animals are turtles?
