So I was watching Batman TAS the other night, and it was the episode with the Creeper. I'd never seen it before, but man! It was hi-larious! Jeff Bennett wins my heart in so many ways, starting with Brooklyn and Owen from Gargoyles. And now...this fella.And what I loved about him was that in a world as dark and grim as Gotham...he was almost exactly like Freakazoid. "They call me....wacky yellow-skin man!"
So I scribbled this up because it made me giggle.

You know, Freakaziod was originally going to be a show about the Creeper, but the executives supposedly decided parents wouldn't let their kids watch a superhero with that name or something and made a new character. So that's why they're so similar.
Creeper almost had his own show! The world would have exploded from awesomesauce!

it actually explains why the creeper is so much like freakazoid! and yes, there is a definite connection between the two! also im a big fan of both characters and think this is an awesome piece of art

Actually, The Creeper in Batman TAS is as close as Bruce Timm got to putting HIS idea of Freakazoid on TV. Stephen Spielburg hired Timm to create a zany superhero for him (hence Freakazoid), but they parted on less-than-happy terms because Spielburg wanted Freakazoid to be a comedy and Timm wanted Freakazoid to be more of a humorous action-adventure show. But both characters RULED!!!! BTW, Jeff Bennett also played Jeepers, Cave Guy, the Huntsman, Lord Bravery, an endless number of Whoozits (characters who don't have names; they're just there to fill space and say random lines like "Look at this, sir."), and someone else (the name escapes me at the moment).

My favorite episode and Gotham Knight by far. I also love the ending, when he takes off the patch partly and cracks a grin, then takes the whole thing off and does the maniacal laugh of the century.

The Creeper is an awsome hero, I liked him in the cartoon. I own his 6 issue in one trade paperback collect comic. Its a 6 issue in one book that has his origins. The drawing style is most excellent and he himself is really funny.

The reason why both Freakazoid and the Creeper are so friggin' awesome is because they were a little based off of Madman...
And because they are just cool like that... : )

Ok i lover freekazoid as a kid. I even had pajamas like his. They were boys but i was so much of a fan thet i got them anyway. Wish i had the hair though then i really would be running around in my underware. (its from the theme song)

The best thing about the Creeper is that in an old Marve/DC crossover Nightcrawler and he was fused together into the Nightcreeper.

Man I fail at Gargoyles apparently. I always thought that Brent Spiner was Owen because he was Puck's voice. Way to fail me, logic.
Now I want to watch Freakazoid in a bad bad way.
