Description Tried to make this version of Gomess a lot more creepier but make it have some of the "Vaati Reborn" look as well, because this is Vaati as this boss after all, and even through a Twilight Princess reference in there, because that is the Fused Shadow as Gomess's head!

Before Dungeon: With 6 Maidens awakened and 6 Medallions acquired, Only one Maiden and Medallion left until they can begin their siege of New Hyrule Castle, and also the Sacred Seven is almost completely defeated...But not even Midna knows who the last maiden is, but she knows of a way to find the next maiden, but they have to come to the Twilit Realm, but there's no way to enter in their world, But Midna happens to have some power left in her to create a dimensional hole to her realm, but without the power she can get from within her castle, she'll be too drained to create another warp to the dimension needed to awaken the maiden, and the cloaked man has the only artifact that can open a doorway to her realm...But there is a way around this, if you can transport a twilit mirror to the chamber of where the original mirror once stood, then she can easily transport you to her realm...So now you have to find a Twilit Mirror and transport it to the chamber...doing this, Midna can activate the mirror and pass through the curtain of Twilight...Welcome to the Twilit Realm...Now we finally truly meet Midna face to face, and now we must follow her to an ancient prophecy called "The Great Cataclysm" which tells of the sages, the dark ones, and what would happen if evil were to claim the Triforce...How Midna found out about the sages bloodlines, was because of the symbols of the races on the edges of the prophecy slab...But all there are are 6 race symbols, no sign of a 7th....Perplexing, but Zelda brings up the question, "Who made the slab?"....Then the answer hit Midna like a ton of bricks, and she feels like that she should hit herself for not knowing sooner...It was a Twili that made the slab, a Twili was a Sage...Then that should mean, that Midna is the 7th Maiden...Now follow Midna to the location of the dimensional rift and enter the other dimension, collect the spirit orbs in the Tron-ish black and glowing green looking area with columns of the floor rising up and down, and going through portals, and jumping on appearing and disappearing platforms and you'd have the music called "The Chime of Peace"...Play it and it will awaken some of the ancestry of Midna's sage bloodline...But she can't make the full picture until she get's the medallion....so Onto the Palace of Twilight

Dungeon Analysis: Okay, enemy rundown, there are Achemen, Green and Red Goomas, Stalsmashers, Dark Lizalfoses, Armos MkIIIs, Raitails, Medusas, Yomo Medusas, Mekanoxes(the Robotic Hinoxes of course), and a Mini-Boss Clash with Shadow Link riding an Aquamentos!(OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH)...This whole dungeon is quite an odd one, unlike the Palace of Twilight in Twilight Princess, this is completely different, the puzzles here are quite unique to this game, but those who love Valve games are going to love this dungeon...There are high-tech elevator shafts and lifts, the medusas and yomo medusas are the big traps here, and it is quite difficult to get around in this place and in order to get to the mini-boss, all the keys, map and compass, and the boss door is to treat this place exactly like a giant rubik's cube without all the color because the only color you see here is black and neon green, but the place isn't shaped like a rubik's cube...so controlling some levers, jumping on some lifts, and going through some elevator shafts, you will eventually get to the mini-boss Shadow Link and Aquamentos...The first phase of this mini-boss involves a chase with Epona to strike down Shadow Link, but since he's riding Aquamentos, the dragon horse will try to breathe fire at you if you get close, but you have to take Shadow Link down, one thing to make this difficult is that Shadow Link can move through and above walls with the artifact that was missing, so you need to be smarter than the mini-boss, He leaves behind a trail that can be followed through, and even blast Light Bullets through which will make this intense mini-boss fight even funner, where you can stun Shadow Link and slash at him a few times, continuing this and he will dismount the now dead Aquamentos and continue the battle on foot, but he still has the artifact in hand so that means the process can still be repeated, but Shadow Link is as smart as you and knows your every move, that is unless you've learned as many moves more than Shadow Link that means you can outsmart him and out duel him! Defeat him and you'll get the best damn Dungeon Treasure ever! "The Quantum Infiltrator!" Or in Laymen's Terms...A PORTAL GUN!!! (Yes, Now The Legend of Zelda is thinking with Portals! But like the Spinner in Twilight Princess, it's not used a lot in the main story...so sad, but hey, saved the best item for last, huh!)...So now with your new Portal Gun, sorry "Quantum Infiltrator" you can now get through this dungeon a lot easier, in fact there are some dungeons that had the Twili Symbol which you use in order to get to certain treasures you couldn't get to. Get the Boss Key, then to the Boss Door and you'll get ready to face the cloaked man!

Before Boss Fight: As you enter the room, there stood the cloaked man, the last of the Sacred Seven, as he took the hood off of his head, Midna knew for sure it was her former student, Vaati...The two reminisce about how things got to this very moment, how the sacred seven was formed, how Vaati tricked Midna into taking over her kingdom, and what he and his boss are doing...Looking for the Triforce, of course...For Vaati, it's the ultimate power, and he wishes to have the power to control the lands and everything in it, while his boss becomes a god(or at least that's what he's been told)...Vaati had a brilliant mind, and yet he was once the size of an ant...With the power of the Triforce, now the world will be ants to him(Napoleon Complex, folks)...And during his search for the location of the Triforce, he found something, another ancient relic of the Twilight....The Fused Shadow! Midna tries to stop Vaati, but it's of no use...Vaati had put on the Fused Shadow, and absorbed the dark powers inside it...And he invokes the summoning of an ancient spirit of darkness to possess his body and give him more power....GOMESS!!

Boss Fight Analysis: So the former sub-boss from Majora's Mask becomes a Main Dungeon Boss, because Gomess happens to be my favorite Mid-Boss from any game whatsoever because of that absolute bad-ass design and concept...And Gomess in this game is an absolute bastard! His Most Popular attack is summoning an exclusive enemy called the "Chasupa", they appear and fire mini-lasers at you like tiny flying Beamoses..Also he loves swinging that scythe around and this includes doing a spin attack, One thing for sure is that's going to be very difficult for you, is that he's Immune to all of your attacks except for Light...So a Light Bullet will pierce through his shroud of darkness covered by many many Keese...But you can't break his barrier yet either because he's Intangible...So you need to solidify him with Dark...One thing for sure you can't do is attack him directly, but thankfully you have your little Quantum Infiltrator(or Portal Gun), and there's plenty of Twili Symbols that cover the walls, floor, and ceiling, now time for some Aperture Science! Shoot one Portal in one Symbol and one in another, once Gomess is in the direct area and in the right position, fire a dark bullet to solidify him, and then a Light Bullet to pierce through his shroud to stun him and attack the Glowing Green Center as his weakpoint...Here's one thing you're not going to like...Gomess Is kind of smart and will delete the two symbols you used after you've stunned him with the Light Bullets and an additional two more just for kicks, so you'll need to look for new directions to attack him! But when you manage to get him hurt enough, Phase 2 begins...Gomess will get rid of his lower half, and fly up to the upper section, and most of the Twili Symbols have been erased, so you need to plan carefully and aim correctly! Now Gomess will add using his scythe as a boomerang from far away, Open his own portals with the Dark One's Eyeball Symbols to create deadly laser blasts(to replace the Chasupa summon), and even tear through rifts in time and space in order to fire large orbs of energy at you, but the formula is still the same...Shoot dark to solidify his mass, and shoot Light to stun him back down to the ground, and then attack the green center...Keep at it enough times and Gomess and Vaati will dissolve and evaporate into the air!!

Midna will take back the Fused Shadow and seal it up again, she mentions that she once trapped a demon inside the Fused Shadow, and that anyone who wears it will become possessed by that demon, because even though Vaati betrayed her for power, he was still her student, and her responsibility...The Medallion of Peace was obtained, and Minda's full ancestry is revealed and the full prophecy is realized...The Great Cataclysm is something that would happen if evil hands took hold of the Almighty Triforce....It will wipe out all life on the planet as the new god will create new life on it, ushering in a new rule that will send the planet back to the dark ages...and to do so, he'd have to sacrifice Zelda and the Maidens! Link says that this will not happen, not while he still draws breath and the Maidens and Zelda are safe from the Dark One....Midna says she saw an image of the Dark One that seeks the Triforce....Zelda asks who it is, if it's this Ganondorf they seek...Midna says...It's Agahnim! This whole time Link and Zelda have been helping the bad guy the whole time...That glyph they got from the Kokiri Cave, Locating every Maiden, Finding Zelda, Agahnim had this all planned out and has been playing us from the beginning(no shit, right?)...Zelda asks Midna..."Where's Agahnim Now?"...Midna responds "At New Hyrule Castle!"...So it seems that Groose was in on it the whole time after all...Time to begin the siege of the castle a bit sooner than usual before Agahnim tries to take the maidens and Zelda himself!

End of Act 2!
