Galaxy's redraw. ^^ I like this one /much/ better than the first - [link] - and I actually think that this was more of what I was going for back in 2006 when I drew Gal for the first time, anyway.
I got pretty bored of the profile-only views, so I decided to just sketch Galaxy in a pose similar to the first one I drew her in. I didn't add any sledding harness because I was unsure of how I'd get it to look right beneath her wings, but I may try again eventually. n_n

So. Galaxy's a black and purple rainbow-winged Canadian Inuit Dog, also called a Qimmiq, which, unfortunately, is not recognized as a breed by the AKC. I absolutely love them, since they're very similar to huskies, malamutes and other lesser-known sledding breeds, with a slightly different variety of colors.
..Obviously, they aren't purple in color, nor do they have wings, rainbow or otherwise. But, /this/ one does. XD

As for Galaxy herself, she's constantly busy trying to keep the pups of the pack out of trouble. She's the older 'sister' of Beau. They aren't related, but she found him when he was only a couple months old, and sort of..adopted him in and cared for him.

They eventually met up with Glitch, Sundae and Blizzard, who quickly became Beau's closest friends, and as they were all quite young and also orphaned and pretty much trying to care for one another the best they could, Galaxy also took it upon herself to care for them, as well.

Basically, she's the self-proclaimed babysitter of the pack, much to the dismay of her charge, Sundae, who, before Galaxy found them, was the poorly-qualified 'leader' of their tiny pack.

Anywho, Galaxy's pretty calm and laidback, but she's extremely protective over those she cares about. She's not very trusting and she's really cautious, usually making her seem slightly standoffish at first, although she's plenty social and affectionate once you actually get her to trust you.
