This piece makes me so excited! Why? Because, so-to-speak, it's my first freelance-commission-from-a-big-client. Well, almost. I haven't actually sent out anything to clients yet, so I don't know if it counts completely in my eyes.

My university selected six possible illustration students, and from those six (who were interested), narrowed it down to two people to hire. I was one of those hired for the project. ^__^

This illustration will be on a poster designed by one of the hired graphic design students. The theme was "creativity, sharing of ideas, artistic mentoring, etc".

The poster will advertise Crit-O-Rama, a big event collaborated between the art departments of several colleges/universities. It's pretty much a huge free-for-all critique with students, professors, and visiting artists. You can bring in your portfolio, then walk up to anyone you want and say, "Hey, look at my stuff?" And they do.
