O V E R V I E W : Kasumi isn't a particularly outstanding student grade wise. Participation wise, she's very talkative and contributes a lot to class discussion.
Good at debates. However, some teachers have noted her to have bad behavior and small dress code violations from time to time.

Often displaying bad behavioral traits in public, most would also call her rude and or disrespectful. However, upon getting to know her, you'll find she's a lot more common sensed and mindful than she appears. Although Kasumi does need to learn some discipline when it comes to manners and strangers, it's also easy to respect her for her open mind and brave ability to speak what's on her mind and tell it as it is. She is not to be confused with a plain hateful, ignorant, or mean person even though sometimes her attitude can come off that way. Kasumi is just simply not one to take bull or lecturing, and those who don't give her any of that are the ones she respects and trusts and befriends -- Kasumi is an incredibly good friend to have, would never betray or hurt those she loves. She sticks up for friends and family, sometimes she sticks up for people she doesn't even know. Kasumi has an incredibly low tolerance for drama, and can get hot-headed very easily when taunted or provoked. She argues against authority and conformism, leading a lot to believe she is rebellious. However, she personally doesn't have the guts to be outrageous/protesty rebellious. H I S T O R Y :Kasumi's back story is anything but tragic, her life has been pretty average minus an ongoing battle for nonconformity. Kasumi, an only child to a nurse and a politician, was brought up in the outskirts of the super trendy town of Harajuku, her friends mostly consisted of a rather, literally, colorful crowd that inspired Kasumi to stand out just like them. Her parents were very protective of her going down the "wrong path" and wanted her to strive for a very good career in the future; her taking a bad turn, they thought, would corrupt that forced dream. They were good people, but very expecting and demanding. Everything had to be done a certain way or to their pleasing. During Kasumi's early years, she attended grade school, switching to home school at the age of 12. This was her parents attempt to cut her off from her influential friends, which was hypocritical of them to live in such a high cultured city but trying to make her not dress that certain way or act that certain way. They were convinced they were bad influences, but that only made Kasumi grow reckless and begin to behave badly, her social life crumbling within the walls of her own home. Although it wasn't too big of a deal and she still lived comfortably, she just despised her parents making choices for her. She'd really just lash out a lot and get a bad temper that her parents didn't know what to do about. In another desperate attempt to discipline her, they sent her off to her grandmother in Furukawa only a year after starting home school. For the next years, Kasumi lived a more care-free lifestyle and learned a few things from her grandmother. She let Kasumi do what she wanted and accepted her choices, letting her learn from her own mistakes and only influencing her to make the right decisions next time. Kasumi has always been at a battle with her sense of independance/originality and not molding herself into what people expect her to be. She learned from her grandmother that these things don't have to come from going out of her way to do the opposite of what people want just to tick them off or spite them. She even began to tone down her ridiculous attire, and is still learning to control her frequent outbursts and tendency to come off as rude and uncaring. This helped a lot when she got her parents word that she'd been enrolled to Miyagawa High, boarding there. But Kasumi can't shake the fact and hurt that her parents must think she hasn't changed the past few years, otherwise they wouldn't be sending her to a boarding school in the town she currently lived in.
