Description Just a picture, experimenting with ink washes. I never actually take the trian anymore, though I'd like to - they were some of my favorite places to hang out... I mean not like I was in a gang or anything that loitered at trains, it's just there's something really interesting about trains as public places, cos they're public but everyone goes into this space all of their own and yknow... it's just a really awkward place to be.

the reflection is kinda weird... he can't be reflected like that in the woindow...
anyway it looks very nice, with the textures from your fingertips. nice done.

The train is a strange place but one of my favourite places. I dont like driving places because it feels, extravagant? Its like, the train is communisim revived, travel for the people and in that little carriage I feel homely and its nice, until some person starts making weird faces at me, then I turn the volume up.

The piece is well rendered and you portray the emotion perfectly and the lack of detail in the distance gives that feeling of moving, motion. I could never put my arm around my girl like that, we must have weird chairs in queensland...

This is a beautiful piece. I think the fact you've done it using an ink wash and not just on pencil adds to it. Its gorgeous *swoons*

the window is amazing! wow I love it. The only thing that is awkward is her head seems too big for her body. Maybe that's just me... but I really like it.

I like the simple background with the hard inked inside, gives a cool effect !! I wish i could ink the way you do, its such an awesome style !

I know what you mean about train environments, its a tiny space with heaps of people jsut living there own lives wiht no interraction wiht anybody else on the train.

I wouldn't know, I've never ridden on a train before, though I can understand how everyone drifts off like that.

Beautiful picture. I love your style.

great piece of work. they look so desperate about something only they know. unable to talk about it but yet at least happy to be there for each other
I like your other drawings too ... so instant fav + watch

I really like this picture, the strokes are fantatic. I like the expressions on their faces, they both seem to be thinking different things about the same thing - if that makes sense.

You're right about trains, I love them too, it's a place like no other - a sort of public solitude.

This is very nice! I love the speckles. What did you use to do that? The less detailed background really adds to the sense of movement. I love the glare on the window and the heavy black outlines. Well done!

Thanks. Yeah you just kinda flick the brush to get the spots and that, I use ink so it's more watery - I don't know how it'd worth with acrylic paints and stuff. I also use my fingerprints a lot to add texture or something. It's a very messy ordeal.

It really pays off. It's a wonderful ink drawing. His reflection in the window was just a wonderful touch.
