Unforunately, since DA is weird and requires all avatars to be exactly 50x50 pxl's the proportions aren't right for it. I'm also concerned that if I make it much smaller, no one will be able the tell what it is

oh darn... if I knew how the animation part worked I think I would still try it out, lol... its not that hard to make something 50 by 50

It's not the process so much as having to potentially crop off too much to make it square. Maybe I'll give it a try any tomorrow just to know for sure whether it would work ^_^

haha, yeah, I too like my anime ninja reading a book ^_^
I actually had to manually resize it and do some editing to get it to the right size and so it didn't look crappy on DA's gray background.
