The planet is really nice and I like the layout..
The nebula has edges that are just to sharp for my liking...

Good job overall though.. and presentation is great.

I love the simplicity of it all...the neb's got good depth, and the planet seems realistic (even besides the fact that you used the earth map)...very cool.

oh thx but.... eh don't say that in this way
I just used earth's map as base... of course I would'nt use earth's texture at all

Brilliantly awesome. The planet is perfect; everything about it looks totally real. The nebula is superb, and the starfield on the bottom portion really grabs my eye too. The level of realism you've displayed in this is remarkable. Great attention to detail. +fav

Thank you very much!!
I've always featured the details on my pieces but I think it's the first time I use then correctly!
But in this one I didn't see how realistic it ended up

o, and btw, i absolutely love that nebula, could you maybe give me a few pointers, or maybe point me towards any tutorials that you used?

xRed-thunderDragoNx In reply to tripleplay369 [2004-11-16 23:50:25 +0000 UTC]

I didn't use any tutorial cuz it's a personal tecnique.
If you had MSN Messenger I could help you better but as you don't have I can only recommend you take a look at ~tibro 's and ~floydier 's gallery!

wow, talk about ralistic looking... those light... and the nebula... incredible!
what was the original image resolution?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

xRed-thunderDragoNx In reply to bloknayrb [2004-11-15 23:24:21 +0000 UTC]

The original size was the double (4096x3072) wath was the resolution I made the nebula inittialy, but the planets were rendered on 3dsm at 2048x1536. Bigger render resolution wasn't used because the original textures isn't bigger than that.

Thanks your comment

Well I've used Earth's map as base for this texture but wasn't meant to be the Earth, althought you can see some continents
