There is no known cause, although it is often linked to anxiety. SM manifests as the capacity to be talkative in situations where those affected are comfortable, but become either partially or completely mute, in certain situations or in the presence of specific people. For Zhengyi, he's not very good at handling phone calls as well as delivering announcements and speeches. If he knows he'll be stuck with people though, he's able to make more of an effort (thanks, therapy). He becomes almost completely silent over the phone, and does not speak at all if asked to speak in English without prior notice. (though he's gotten better bc everyone at this damn house only speaks english ._.)

Zhengyi grew up in an very traditional Asian household, (KOR mom, CHN dad). Because of this, he has preconceived notions about gender roles and such. This makes him protective of girls and those who are younger than him. While he does his best to extend kindness to others, he generally demands some sort of respect from those boys who are his junior, while never failing to show the same respect for his seniors (this is applicable with people who share his culture). He can take most trash talk and insults, but not from youngins.

He can tolerate most things without complaint, reserving the worst of his displeasure for the ears of those he trusts fully., Some things he can't take though, there are times, even in unfavorable situations, his rage overrides his SM. Afterwards, he is quick to apologize if necessary, although it doesn't means he forgets. He's also often disorganized, leaving his areas in a mess, he tries to fix them, but it never stays as neat for more than two days.

Born in South Korea, he started wushu to learn discipline when he was four. He got good at it after a while. Then, to further his training, his family moved to Guangzhou in his last year in junior secondary school.

At the end of that schoolyear, his team had gotten into an international competition. It was Zhengyi's first one. It was there where their bus broke down during their leisure time. He and his friends and started fooling around and Zhengyi had gotten lost in the forest after his friends played dares and challenged his pride in front of the younger kids.
