Photo © Me =ceadair-crannI went to the Zoo last Wednesday. This was taken at the end of the 11:00am Wild Life Live show. I literally ran down to the stage to get some pictures of Chinook, a bald eagle, a Eurasian Eagle Owl (I forget its name
), and Pierre, a Hooded Vulture. This is Chinook. She arrived at the zoo in 1997. She was found injured in Alaska. Chinook can soar downhill, but her flight is sometimes labored. (More info on the Oregon Zoo website)

I think the eagle owl is Najla, there could be some different spelling on the name. Is she flying in the show yet?
I rarely ever see Pierre out, it's usually Chinook, maybe Sundance and Apollo and Rosita.

Thats a pretty name. 8D Nope, not yet. They just brought her out.
They had Chinook and the eagle owl, Najla on stage, while the harris hawk and Pierre were on the the ground.

Aw, hopefully she can fly soon. I've been to a few other bird shows where they have eagle owls flying. Can't remember what her name means.
