Been a while since I drew...well, I was gonna say "a dragon", but really since I drew anything.

This is my take on THIS: sta.sh/0bopugb9bbt , the chapter image for the first...section? of the novel-turned-series Wicked by Gregory Maguire. The thing has such an epic feeling to it that I had to draw it, but I decided to put my own spin on it - make the "camera" look down on the approaching Frex instead of up on the Dragon Clock.
(I think Frex turned out a bit too small considering the perepective, but I'm too lazy to change it now).

At first I was going to go for this scratchboard effect, but my hand was so shaky and the lines looked so blurry and artificial that I couldn't do it, haha. Maybe some other time?

The original scratchboard illustration is by Douglas Smith by the way. It was honestly really hard to find a decent scan of it.
