Another addition to my XVerse's Supers universe. This is the roster for the Superteam SAVIOR for 2023...now for some backstory.

Since their formation in 2001 SAVIOR has endured a lot; the Superman breakout of 2006, the Mar'Shin invasion of 2011, the Superhero War of 2016, and perhaps most devastating the death of Apex in 2020. It was that last event that actually caused the team to disband, leaving the SAVIOR compound abandoned for years. When the complex was put up for auction Jack Stone, head of the Division of Superhuman Affairs (and former superhero himself), called in every favor he had in order to obtain it. Stone then meticulously combed through dossiers on every superhero in order to assemble what he believed to be the perfect team to restart the SAVIOR brand. Given his limited budget the initial team needed to be small with only a skeleton support crew. However Stone's goal is to not only restore SAVIOR to their former glory, but to transform them into a global peacekeeping organization.

The Blur - Active since 2014, the former pro athlete turned superhero was not only chosen for his abilities. But because he also comes with a full PR machine Stone can use to sell the team.

AMPd - Active since 2017, the founder of AMPd Engineering. AMPd is the only company to successfully broker a deal with the Mar'Shin people. This provides the team with a direct line to advanced alien technology.

Guardian - Active since 2016, Guardian was Apex's personally chosen successor. A title he proved himself worthy of during the Superhero War. Having him on the team buys a lot of good will with the public.

The Beetle - Active since 2002, one of the longest active heroes around. Beetle provides experience as well as being an established hero with lots of connections within the superhero community.

Lady Bug - Active since 2002, much like the Beetle Lady Bug provides experience and connections within the superhero community. But on top of that Lady Bug also buys the appeal of another demographic.

One thing I wanted to establish is that superheroes have been around for a while, and the best way to convey that is to move various characters around on the timeline. I will of course release stuff from other points in the timeline, after all I do reference some pretty major events in the timeline above. I want the year 2024 however to be a sort of rebirth for the series, as it will be when I fully dive into the idea of it being it's own universe. This team roster is me trimming the fat and keeping only what I deem to be the most finished designs as of now. The team will function as a sort of mix between the Ultimates and the Justice League Unlimited. They have a full on headquarters with a support staff to help keep the place running and optimize their deployment. The guy in charge, Jack Stone, I want to be essentially Captain America from the 80s who became Nick Fury...but with a lot of Kurt Russel Influence in the design. I just didn't post him here because I don't have him finished just yet.
