The Next entry for my Halloween project this year; the Undead. for this category I wanted to have monsters that start as ordinary people but for some reason or another they are not allowed to move on to their eternal rest. Originally I considered a Frankenstein's Monster and another vampire breed, but decided to save the Frankenstein Monster for later and decided to keep to the more uniquely undead rather than another Vampire that didn't make the cut on that set.

Also huge shoutout to Omniferis who made the skeleton template I used for my zombie.

Ghost - A Ghost has no physical body and is in fact the spirit of one who has died. A Ghost if formed in a few different ways; one can die a particularly violent death causing the soul to linger until justice is served, one could have been destined to do something but dies before accomplishing it creating unfinished business. Or one could simple be called from the afterlife by another's interference. Initially it is impossible to tell the difference between their living and dead form, over time they tend to forget themselves and take on a more detached personality.

Mummy - All living mummies are the result of a curse. Often the curse is brought on by someone or something disturbing their resting place. Others are returned in order to retrieve a stolen item. They are not usually inherently good or bad. However there has been at least one case of a priest using a curse to grant themselves power in the next life as a way to become an eternal pharaoh.

Revenant - A Revenant is a soul that has managed to come back in their own body. They are almost indistinguishable from the living acting exactly as they did in life. Although due to the lack of bloodflow they tend to be pale in complexion and are often very cold. They also have distinct pale blue eyes and are forced to nourish themselves with a chemical found in brains (and curiously enough chocolate). Failure to do so will slowly drive a revenant mad and prone to violence.

Zombie - Zombies are a result of necromancy. They are reanimated corpses that are driven simply by the compulsion to spread their condition. They are no longer human and will often feed on anything that is living. Often considered a plague it is not unheard of for entire towns to be put under quarantine in order to deal with an outbreak.
