Description

I got another workdump for you all, this time it's all connected to my Captain America project that I am dubbing False Idol. None of these are final, but I am happy with a lot of them so far.

As you can see this is mostly variants of Captain America. I got 5, maybe 6 different Captains depending on how I want to play Fury's backstory. Speaking of, my version of Fury is more of the classic version but with elements of the Ultimate/MCU version. To be completely honest I simply prefer the original more grizzled version to the more modern version. I think of it as sort of a Bruce Willis vs Sam Jackson situation, I like them both...but Bruce is more the vibe I am going for here.

You may have noticed what looks like Jeffery Mace and John Walker. As of now I am playing with the idea that the two of them would be SHIELD agents that are made into a division of Captain America themed heroes, much like how the Ultimate universe had multiple Giant Men and Iron Men.

You probably also saw Isaiah Bradley and the notes about him being in a homemade suit vs an official one. My vision here is that he was drafted into the Vietnam war and experimented on to make more than human (something that actually happened) only to return to a country in the midst of the civil rights movement. Unable to stand by and watch he puts on a patriotic shirt and tries to keep the peace.

Now for Steve Rogers himself. My idea is that he was the model for a propaganda campaign during WWII. Comic books, film reels, and even a radio drama pushed the idea of this larger than life super soldier. Back in Europe this made him the target of pranks at the hands of his fellow soldiers, such as dying his coat blue, painting a large "A" on his helmet, and giving him a very colorful shield after a newsreel ran with a small detail from a mission. In modern times I want him to over time grow into the Cap we all know...though I don't have those details all ironed out yet, and those I do I'm keeping under wraps for now.

Anyway, let me know what you think, especially on the SHIELD/Cap hybrid suits...because those are what I am definitely planning to change and would love some ideas for how to change them.
