I don't know what hit me but I decided to expand my horizons and do some landscape digital paintings. I originally challenged myself to 7 speedpaints in 7 days, the very first one was scrapped, so I give you 6 in 6 days
I'm not very happy with any of these and will probably move 'em to my scraps soon, but as the timelapse videos are pretty fun to watch I figured what the heck, I still wanna show em.

I used screenflow but it kept crashing, thats why Im missing some videos. Just do a google search there's probably free simple apps for that

Well to be honest, we are our own worst critiques, and I know exactly how you feel. You create something (which you feel are not your best) but others feel differently, they love it. :] These are pretty amazing to say the least, even if you believe it's not one of your strong mediums/points.

This is a very cool way to expand on your horizons. I might do something like this myself since I need to work on my backgrounds.

it certainly is a nice exercise, I believe the stuff you learn converts to all other visual stuff you do so, yeah I think a very useful practice
