the hairiest little guy i have seen in a while!i was at my computer when my hubby comes in and says "hey! come look at this big scary spider!" i quickly put fresh batteries in my camera and sprinted to see
it WAS big! about 3" across. and very very patient. as he was on the screen door i had to open it carefully so as to not scare him away and then he let me do some very close-up shots...
then he was gone.
a cameo appearance... a walk-on role of the show that was my wednesday

HE, if i can trust the SLIGHT glance at the pedipalps (boys have what we call boxing glove ones, girl have slight curves.. its the short "legs" just before you get to his LEG legs) is ADORABLE. Look at that oogie boogie sweet face... awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww now i want a fuzzy white 8 legged "puppy". the 7 i already have are 5 shades of pinks and purples... i need to branch back in. im on a frog and gecko kick right now though. LOOK AT THE OOGIE FACE!!!! i could just explode into candy.

this one from what i can tell would be female then. tonight i am reworking this image for a friend (now that i have a clue about photo editing - lol) and came to see what i had done the first time around. in the original she's got cute little tapered toes on her "forelegs". perhaps the small abdomen is an indication of her being juvenile? since you seem knowledgeable, do you have any idea what kind she is? i've tried doing my own searches but they've been fruitless....

the other clue is from the inside of a shed, if you look at the bottom of where the abdomen was in the shed... 2 dots, female. 1 dot. male. np one the month to reply, people have lives.

yeah, i agree with the bed part. there are many poisonous spider where i live so i dont try to interact with them too much. ill get close enough for a few shots but i dont want 'em crawlin on me... i really wanted to pet him though. fluffy spider guy
