Ah.... by the way.... just incase, let me make this particular declaration~ I'll be adding the rest onto here as I finish doodling/colouring them. But please, don't feel obligated AT ALL that you have to comment each time. You don't have to! D:(Or that you have you fave [in hopes that ye might be able to shut this Yakra up~ X'D])

For the others who have no clue what I'm babbling about - this be the Stade, belonging to *Exarrdian , from one of her stories. In particular, the story she wrote for her NaNoWriMo submission. Even though I'm only up to page 40 of her story (I be a slow reader :'D ), her characters be oh so lovable that they pretty much all sent me off into fanart fits. The most, in particular, this guy Stade Bullet. Sky pirates!
Hem.... I wanted to make something far more proper for this art-trade-exchange.
Somehow, I keep thinking of anything I do on me DS as a doodle. To make things further worse, I'm not very fond of how.... blurry this looks? I wanted sharp, sharp colours! (And ofcourse, the main thing - this poor Stade looks nothing at all like the original awesome version! T___T)There are supposed to be more Lulan fanarts coming up ahead. :3 *spams the world* I suppose I'll just keep updating this particular deviation/page with them? Add them all on!

y'know, these are pretty unbelievable...
I've never used a DS or this art program. But I'm assuming it's probably not a convenient drawing tool. The screen size must be tiny the stylus must be those basic mobile phone types, hard to grip properly with no pressure sensitivity etc. The art program seems similar to Facebooks graffiti application which is hard to use with no layers, basic brushes etc...
... and yet you work such wonders! such intricate details, smooth lines and beautiful colors. Gorgeous work with such limited tools. I can't even imagine what wonders you'd work with a tablet and photoshop!

YOU~ need to get a DS. Seriously. Truly. It's one of the best inventions for manking with the most amazing gamesssssss. And then this. XD But yeah. The stylus is teeny. I don't mind it though. Infact, I kind of actually prefer the stylus of the original phat phat DS to the one of the Lite's? Which is actually smaller and more delicate and skinnier? Weirdness...? :'D
There is pressure sensitivity though! It's... kind of like a mini tablet in your hand? And it lovely~ @___@ Once ye get used to the restrictive small scale, it's like having aaaaalll your colours in the palm of your hand, everywhere~~~ Very nice in buses or in college while going 'blah~!' a those damned kids.
*sounds like a total bad advertiser*
Basically! Get a DS so that I can force ye to play Atelier Annie and inflict ye to teeth breaking sweetness too!

Eep,sorry for the late reply! Ah a DS @_@!... that would be nice, a digital sketchpad, with games... and one can read comics and e-books on it too?? Baaaaaaww! If only my tablet and ipod weren't dying -_-, both of them cost around as much as a DS... eep!! but I'm thinking, I can't use those little stylus'. I can't use small pencils even XD. dunno, it's like my hands aren't... nimble enough to use those? *is finding excuses for herself not to spend more money* And I haven't finished a game in years (excluding the occasional replays of LOOM and Legend of Kyrandia 1 @.@). *looks up Atelier Annie* Haven't ever played the games of it's sort... but it looks so cute X3~
Doesn't drawing on the DS attract those damned kiddies more, like... "what's that?" "What are you doing?" etc. in my super short experience of teaching they were perpetually curious about Whatever Terry Pratchett book I had in hand and have comments like "looks like a kids book" or "you should read twilight". Furthermore, I can never draw when someones looking -_-. I become so self conscious. eep, I'm blabbering, so sorry about that!
Yeah, anyway! I love the most recent painting. She has that rogue-ish air, Annie Oakley-ish awesomeness. Love how you paint fur and the perspective pose and colors etc

I remembered the talisman actually. Erika... ye actually played her as a RO character too, at some point, no? I remember seeing a pic from you with her standing at one end of a bridge, with a determined expression, and clutching that that necklace for dear life. XDDD Infact, when she first popped up in the story, I was quite surprised she was cruising around in an airship oh so fearlessly! X'D (Erika! Ye hast overcome your fears! *proud*

You're right about the characters. I was tellign Denny how my favorite part of the story is how her characters come to life both the main and the "NPCs" Dang you got all the details from his hair to his eye even the belt! How can you even consider this to be a botch? << Tsk so hard on yourself... enjoy the story its a good one and even if we know how it ends from Denny's picture its still really good and I'd say left me surprised too. Stade is awesome how he is haha...so not typical and definitely handles the orhpan thing better than others.
Can't wait to see what comes out of your own fanism!

I love the way you use color in this picture. it's a little all over the place - in a good way - and really makes the picture so much more vivid and full of motion. even just the wheel is pretty to look at. ^^
is it supposed to look like there's a bit of blue glow on there from the arillis or is it just the lighting? Either way, i like it. ^^
And I really really like how Stade looks. Like grown up, but only just barely. and kinda like serious about his flying, but you can see the boyish troublemaker on his face took. (and yeah, just totally bishie too...>> )
and i really just like the way his hair looks. all wind-swept and the way the lighter tones in front blend in more naturally.

About the blue - em.... no clue. X'D I was kind of loosely thinking of the arillis? But.... also thinking of bright blue skies? (Not that any sky gives off neon glows like THAT! :'D ) Let us blame it on the arillis! Afterall, that is the object causing glows to fall upon Reinhaz and Mint in their pics!

And I was telling Denny - I can't get over how absolutely gorgeous Mint is. Like wow. I love how colorful the shadows are to her hair, and how wispy it is...and just in general how everthing about her is so pretty. She and Stade make a great couple in your style too.
And Rein...of course we all love him. I think you captured his determination just right. ^^
I love how textured all the pictures look too. Like the wood textures or the machinery-ish background in the Mint picture, or even Rein's clothes and such.

Eh heh heh heh... so after posting this last night, I went into some 'argh! I can't take it anymore! Must know what happened next! Damned be sleep!'-modes and actually finished all the story in one go. Aaaaaand..... me god. ME GOD!
There is absolutely no way I can actually sum up the amount of love I feel for this story. And it's characters. And the airship. Ah god~ that scene with the Bride crash!!!!! XDDD For a second, it was just so Lularum and Luc-ish that I just went off into ultimate fits of laughter.
Mweeee.... I want more Staaaaaaaaaaaade! Damn ye for ending it like ye did!
I loved Reinhaz and Erika too. As much as Mint! Erika was a suprise liking for me. She.... didn't appeal to me much at the start? Perhaps her character design coupled with just her very one dimensional 'no~'s. But by the end.... :'D (Bunny girl! XD) Reinhaz too, while I loved him from the start, I really didn't feel he would be like so? It was oddly very, very, VERY nice to actually see what ye actually wrote him to be like. Infact, I remember you mentioning that he has a very minor role in this story. But in some odd ways, I almost found him to be the hero? Or if not the main hero, saviour - one with Stade. In any case, I found him to have a very major role! Ah... but! He was very non-maniacal villainous? Not at all like how you'd described him before. (Not that I mind! Me likey.
And while I'm babbling about Reinhaz - his father was quite a surprise too! I didn't expect it would be Garland? Perhaps I was just not following your stories closely enough. But I'd always associated Garland with some mad old coot-ness and Joel. XD And his mad army of mad characters.
Hrm. Hrm. What else.... ah! Questions! So.... by the way~ About Lulan - basically Sol Fera, Atkastia and Highwind were built on that continent? And Mag-Mel was another? I think I read too fast... and missed such details....
Also! Hm! When Alberius revives Lulan, I'm sure Stade and Mint and Erika and Reinhaz came back, ne....? NE?! :'D
By the way! We wants to see these 5 year old airship designs from ye! XD If nothing else, they could be the 'Stade versions' of his Bride. XD! He certainly hasn't struck me as an incredibly fine artist who goes on into immaculate details. X'''D
(Random unneeded details - I... am such a silly ass. I saved over the Stade file I had on me DS with the Mint I was working on. ...

Oh yes completely forgot to mention about Garland.. X_X well..

Way back Garland was made as completely random character part of, yes Joel`s army of random funny characters.. he was known as professor who likes to make things in the sky! XD later on we had this story of how Alberius steals the rune of memories in an attempt to revive Lulan and all the people because he kept hearing their voices/screams and then we thought "Hey if Garland was originally from Lulan, it will make a lot of sense!"
So basically.. we never had any idea on HOW Lulan fell or why Reinhaz became evil or why he brought Lulan`s demise. When these characters were introduced it was all when Alberius brought Lulan back .... sooo when a friend asked me if I`ll give NaNoWriMo a try I thought "Hey maybe I can do a story about how everyone on Lulan met and why it fell and so on
thus the story! XD
And yeah..Garland at first was random crazy old professor inventor guy but then it made sense to be Reinhaz` father and ta-da!

Ah, I better send a note with all the answers including some things that will be revealed in next story (just cause you like Rein so much ^^' and some on Sarah Hyre also known as the white haired woman because her complete story is part of another ..series of stories so one can only guess what happened to her *cough*)
And yeees Alberius will bring them all back 1000 years later! When the creepy priest boy Roan said that Reinhaz saved them, he meant it literally! It will be because Erio`s heart will preserve all of their memories until someone brings them back >> <<
And a little bit of hint here about Rein.. the void destroys fyrians but Rein isn`t such thus the void will have different effect on him and we`ll see our crazy maniacal psycho in the next story, plus he thinks Garland is dead and he is quite upset about it ^_^;
And a lot of things did get left for next story like Valfer and the whole idea of civil war .. that fortress won`t be destroyed so easily XD; I haven`t decided how to fit all my ideas for the next story so I may end up with 3 stories in total but I`ll see! ><;
And..haha I knew you`d eventually like Erika. For some reason everyone likes her by the end XD; She is our Chuck Norris of Lulan or something!
And I don`t know if it will spark more Lulan fan arts but I hope I`ll see more Lul and Luc and more airships ~ XD Airshiiips <3 Thanks again for the pic~ <333 seeing my characters in your style is so cool.. *__*; I sound like average american here calling everything cool T_T;
