Hiro just wanted to do justice in that scene. Isn't that what heroes are supposed to do?

When Baymax's eyes went red, it's like shit hit the fan. This was an amazing scene.

Awesome job with the lighting and Hiro's expression. One of the most intense moments of the film, IMO

I've been obsessed about Big Hero 6 for two days now. This is definitely one of its most powerful scenes. They've put a lot of effort into this film.

What really made this scene so powerful was that Tadashi had created Baymax to heal, but Hiro used Baymax as a tool of destruction to attempt to avenge his brother's death. Not only did he just violate Tadashi's wishes, but he also violated one of the three laws of robotics, which was a robot must never harm a human being.

Hiro didn't realize it at the time, but he almost came close to becoming like the guy who let his brother die.Β I mean, he was using his brother's creation as a tool of revenge, like you said, just as the villain was using his creation as a tool for revenge.

Revenge is never justified. And it was a really powerful scene that actually made me jerk a tear.

Yeah...it was also eerie how the sound seemed muted out during that scene as Baymax tried to kill the villain.
One thing that certainly makes Callaghan/Yokai so different from most Disney villains is that he's not the gleefully evil type (those like Maleficent, Ursula, Jafar, or so many others).Β He's very human, feeling that his revenge against Krei was justified for losing his daughter.

Sometimes, the best villains are the ones who don't see their acts as evil, even though they really are.

This scene was everywhere in all the right ways. Suspenseful, scary, funny, emotional, and incredibly dramatic!

You know what I think would make the scene even more scarier? If Hiro went REALLLYY insane over the whole reveal and starting laughing like the Joker (in a very epic way)Β the momentΒ he removed the nurse chip and ordered Baymax the second time to kill Callaghan. Like this: Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb8fWUβ¦

That would've been out of character. Hiro didn't take delight in Callaghan's terror - the only emotion going through Hiro's mind was rage and vengeance.
