Yeah, not a fan of 5D's from the get go. GX killed my streak of Yu-gi-oh! series fandom from their segment on. Now this whole thing of dueling on bikes, Street Fighter rip-off, another reoccurring of the Shadow Games that should have ended since the ceremonial battle, and crude character designs...yeah Yu-Gi-Oh! should've died where the original ended unless the storyboard crew have kept note of their previous GX seasons and fill in the damned plot holes that are still there in that season! Seriously! The original series had all the loose ends tied up, including their fillers! But GX? No~oo. And 5D's? Forget it! I worked too hard to get the plot holes filled in GX for my fan fiction, trying to sort out 5D's? I'll be in a mental institution before I even have a remote idea on how to mend that chaos! TAKAHASHI! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT SHOULD BE SANE IN THE YU-GI-OH! UNIVERSE! END THIS NIGHTMARE!

Yes I know he was Aussie, it was kinda avoios... We'll maybe nor, but yah totally agree with ya men! I mean at least in yugioh gx they actually kept a few strings with the original yugioh as in the kaibas the Yugi moto guy, a sn the shadow games, els then that I think yugioh gx should die too, but I do like it... :/ so yah!
On other note, they also messed up the gx series too... You see in the yugioh 5d movie, it showed Jaden with YUBEL!!!! And he said that HIS FRIENDS WERE MISSING THERE CARDS!!! (Night I add they ended the yugioh sires saying that JADEN DIED!!!!!! It stated clearly that Sy said this:::
"Big brother (Jayden) is up with the stars!"
Then they add yugioh 5D the movie putting Jayden in his season 4. (I looked up the season 4 in jappanes) WITH YUBEL!!!!!!!!
I mean it's ok, but what that means is they just have to do the season 4, I mean it's all confusing :/ I watched the yugioh 5D and it's kinda wired...

hey at least they kept the spikey hair! i watch all the yugiohs and like them.but i get your point. but Yu-Gi-OH hasn't gone that far astray like Pokemon did. Pokemon isn't Itself anymore. But I do like jack and Valon, very good looking and nice voices. but they ended 5DS cause the lawsuit and GX i have no idea. but if you don't like 5DS go watch YGO Abridged it's hilarious if you haven't watched it already but like some comments below me 5DS was pretty good. GX wasn't terrible but they could've done alot more (in my opinion) but 5DS was pretty cool and the bikes added kick to it. but the original is always the best. I'm NOT trying to say "STOP BASHING GO WATCH IT!" but simply giving my opinion.

Card game at an Academy in space on motorcycles would be a nightmare!!
On a side note, Valon was by far one of my favorite duelists in Season 4. His Deck was awesome and his duel with Joey is one of the best I've seen.

I totally agree with you! SEASON FOUR IS THE BEST! Valon was my favorite from that season then I liked Alister next........ I saw the whole season when it aired and when Valon lost his soul I was a like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! He is so cute.

I don't see how they could possibly focus both on the road and their strategy for the game. I stopped watching after season 4 of the original ygo. It would be hilarious to see Valon's face when he realizes he isn't the only Aussie on the show, and that the other one is a douchebag. I don't get why Jack's an Aussie but instead of looking like Valon, he looks like Rafael...?

Well I believe the anime and manga should have stopped at the end of the original. Keep producing cards yes. The idea of a Duel Academy by Kaiba was neat...until the Shadow Realm, which was supposed to have been sealed at the end of the ceremonial duel, returned; then the Duel Academy is flung into some distant land and everybody is turned into zombies, then who knows what. A friend theorized that at the end of every season the writers faced the firing squad. The you have 5Ds where the once stationary game has turned mobile. Now it scales off in another direction with rocket packs?
....No wonder we have psychos like Paradox. If it wasn't for the fact of who he's targeting on his hit list I'd support him.

I just got back into Yu-Gi-Oh a few months ago, and I had no idea what it had become. I knew about GX but a bunch of people we're going on about 5D's and I was like "WTH is this?" Then a bunch of people said it was crap so I'm not gonna watch a single episode of it.
I've seen... 5 minutes? of GX. Then I realized Yugi wasn't coming back so I threw a pillow at the TV. Then I haven't seen a speck of 5D's. I read about the episodes online, and got to 11? in Gx. I can't believe they had some guy mocking the Millennium Puzzle in that way!
I wouldn't care if paradox only targeted Yusei and Jaden. I'd be cheering him on for that, but since he targets Yugi (And Grandpa and Pegasus!) then I'm being a good little Fan Girl and not liking him XD
I can tell there are gonna be a ton of pissed off kids in the theaters because the 20+ year olds are gonna scream 'Card games on motorcycles!'

AMEN! I was so excited when I heard there was going to be a Yu-gi-oh spinoff, but then I watched the first few episodes of GX and all I could think was "Well this sucks!" I haven't even bothered to watch 5D. Who the heck thought it was a good idea to combine dueling with drag racing?

i read the reasons that the author ended Yu-Gi-Oh with holes and all. it has something to do with his publishers wanted it to end in about six months and he had collapsed earlier in the year. he was afraid that he might not live to see the end of the story. and GX and 5D's aren't written by him anyway. those posers. -.-

I'm in total agreement. I loved Yu-Gi-Oh! Why did GX have to ruin it? Then a friend told me about 5D's in Japan. I mean really, Dueling on bikes? That would be very hard, and I don't want to see how they do it. It just sounds so stupid and unappealing... They could've made a better choice of ideas, or even better, ended Yu-Gi-Oh when it was still good.

GX first season had a decent start,

But beyond the Association of Light season I was going "WTF?" By the third season I admitted they weren't going to attempt to answer my questions, especially after Duel Academy disappeared off the face of the island. There needed to be a screenshot of Kaiba visiting HIS academy, and to find it missing he'd grab Pegasus by the collar of his tuxedo asking in a monotone, "Where the Hell is my Duel Academy?"
Yeah, bottom line, between this Association of Light, Duel Academy disappearing, and whatever Hell went on in the fourth season, how could Kaiba let all of that happen to his academy?
