Emo?is it really that bad?
you cant accept the fact
that i get a little sad?
that i am a little mad?
so i favor black
and i dont like pink
you use those as reasons
to make my soul sink
so some of us cut
and some of us dont
we can smile
laugh love and live
we're just not like the rest
sure we cry
we want to die
but none of you understand
its not like we had planned
to live life like this
to spend our days
depressed and amiss
we're not bad people
we dont worship satan
we're not out to kill anyone
we just dont like the world
as much as everyone else
and we dont like ourselves
as much as we could
but we're ok with that
you can call us ugly
you can call us fat
but you cant change who we are
we are emo
whats so wrong with that?

Hmm, I just read this. You make a good point. I'm more of considered a goth, but unlike the others I don't hate emos. A lot of people think it's better to just repress their feelings, and never talk them through which makes them worse and worse, but for some reason talking about your feelings makes you "weak" I think it makes you smart. Kudos dude.

I hate it when people put down others because they're different
people call me emo or goth all the time because I happen to not like bright colors and prefer to wear all black and lots of eye makeup, and other such stereotypical things
if you ask me I'm neither one >.> and goths are completely different than emos so that further proves my point

emo sucks balls, be bright be happy, what are you trying to prove? youll surprisingly find how beutifull happiness and the work of god is. may the lord bless your soul, you know that he loves you, and thats reason enough to not be emo or depressed.

Just so you know, i do not find myself to be 'emo' anymore. I've changed.
And i am aware of how lucky i am to have the things i have, and how i should not be depressed. But it has developed into a mental illness of the mind for me, and i am being treated for it.

This is wonderful. I totally agree with what you are portraying here about emos. I am emo myself and i too have had people come up to me and say: "Ooooh you're an emo!!" or "Go slit your wrists and die!!" and it is true that not all emos cut themselves, i know some who don't.
We are only branded these days by the way we dress and the music we listen to.

Great poem I agree I hate the preppy bitches at my school who cut for fun. And use there daddies money wait till they get old and wrinkly the wont have the mony then. We will always have more styles besides flowers and sequences.
