Which campus? If it's the one in State College, I was there a few years ago for a concert and I loved the whole vibe of the town and the campus. It was beautiful.

The Univerisity of Pennsylvania (UPenn) only has one campus, In West Philadelphia, PA. and it's not a state college, It's private. Maybe you're mistaking it with Penn State University (PSU).

I've never been to Penn state to tell you, But Upenn's Campus is GORGEOUS!

Oh yes, you are correct: I was thinking of Penn State. Woopsy. Sorry. I actually didn't realize that there was a UPenn. You learn something new every day.

Yes, the photos you posted of the UPenn campus are gorgeous. It looks like a very old campus, and I love older architecture.

As for Penn State (State College - Main Campus), it encompassed pretty much the entire little town. The campus itself seemed fairly modern (specifically the sports buildings where I was), but the town is very quaint and sweet. Not really "country" but not big city either; just a relaxing, casual atmosphere with flowers hanging from every light post on the streets and tons of little shops and coffeehouses. Both my friend and I liked it a lot.

Limo?
and what champagne do you prefer? Crystal or Don Perignon?

Jeannieblue In reply to yaseacabo [2008-10-22 18:58:12 +0000 UTC]

Limo. But I don't really drink so I don't require champagne of any sort. Maybe just a nice blankie and a good pillow, so I can get my rest en route.

Penn is gorgeous, but Yale is the best one, even more gorgeous than Harvard.

I think IU is one of the prettiest campuses in the mid-west. All our buildings are built of limestone, so it's a very different look. But that's only because we have lots of limestone quarries in the area. And they are very proud of it. Townies used to be called "cutters" because the primary employment of a townie was cutting limestone. It was a deragitive term until they made a little 500 bike racing team called cutters.

Sounds a pretty nice campus to picture. I'll do it if i visit you

This campus is pretty old fashiones, a lot of castle-like buildings. But the one that amaze me the most is Bryn Maur College, in Bryn Maur, PA. That one really looks like an 18 th century castle!
