So... I made a bet with a friend that Spock could look good with long hair. What do you think?Related content

As fantastic as this picture is, I have one bit of critique. His ears look elfish and not Vulcan. Vulcan ears curve forward and do not point straight back

Hmm... Good point. While I did try to do that, I will have to make sure I have a more clear distinction between the two in my next drawings.
I have found though that there is some inconsistency with Vulcan ears along with how the perspective of the picture is made from which will change how the point of the ear is viewed. For example: [link] in which there is less noticeable forward curve. But yes, it is there. I think the difference for me is that I've never drawn elves with such short ears. Often times, the ears were far more elongated, but that is simply artist interpretation for species of elves as opposed to the now stereotyped Lord of the Ring elves.
But yes, actually THANK YOU for pointing that out. I'm definitely using that in the future.

With the new movie there was a lot of talk about the ears. Leonard Nimoy himself confirmed that Vulcan ears curved forward. I'll try and find the clip on youtube again and send you the link

That would be awesome. I'm not much in the loop with a lot of the post movie Star Trek talks, interviews, or forums. I just like Spock and making some art with him occasionally.
