For a reason,i love having male pokemon and this is probably why most of my pokémon in my team are boys...

For some reason I caught males that look males (Machoke, Lucario) and I caught females that look female (milotic, Gardevoir) No idea why, but the game won't do that.

 I love Male pokemon that  people usually expect to be female
like Male Gardevoir  or Milotic

I don't quite see the difference between having male and or female pokemon, I just use males more because most of the time they have higher offense. (excluding meowstic)

I only collect male pokemon. I catch females for mating reasons, then I dump them back into the wild.
