Antique advertising "trade" cardVictorian era, circa 1890s
This card has been in an album before, its back is covered in old paste residue.
Woman in a blue dress holding a rope and peering off into the distance.
Trade cards typically have a picture on one side and an ad on the other. There were custom cards printed for specific products, and stock cards which could be used for any product. Trade cards were popular for medicines, sewing, and farm equipment, and a range of other products.

Her pose reminded me of the original purpose of the scouts, that being to support soldiers and emergency workers. Also, the 1912 Girl Scout uniforms were blue and provided by the Founder. Do you have any old Girl Scout postcards that you would share? I recently sold my collection of GS memorabilia and am "jonesing" for GS stuff.

I don't collect Scouts stuff though I've seen categories for it at shows, also I was one at one time, I could find and photograph my old sash for you I suppose.
