Description A friend of mine is currently working on a book and requested that I create this map for him to visualize the political scenario of the world.

From what little he has told me in 1930 President Hoover basically snaps and gasses several Hoovervilles across the country that are rioting over his policies. What follows is the break-up of the country and a civil war over disputed territories. The war ends sometime in the mid 30s with a peace declared under President Roosevelt, however many areas are still contested. Mexico has since annexed portions of the South-West and most of Texas.

Don't ask me about the political situation in most of these new countries, I honestly don't know much more than I just told you; though I will say, Yes, Deseret is a Mormon Theocracy, the CSA is an Apartheid state, and Mississippi was formed by a group of African-American Revolutionaries. That's all I know, and all you'll know until the book comes out.

I've got to wonder what the state of the United States is now. I mean surely FDR would be able to repair the image dealt by Hoover's schizo stage. I'd definitely love to know the relationship he'd have with Huey Long if Long has Louisiana under his grip like he did in OTL.

I'll have to ask the author.

Mr. Long should have Mississippi and the disputed land under his control considering his influence.

Sounds interesting. Let me know when it's published, and when it is, maybe let me know how he got it published. Publishing is hard work, and free publishers aren't the best.

Why is that area in the west deserted?

What is it going to be called? Is "Hoover's Folly" the title? Sounds interesting, I'll have to look it up when it comes out!

No its just the title for the map, he hasn't decided on a title yet, though I'll link it in my journal when he publishes it.

He's got me designing an airship that is apparently key to the story too, so I better get a, "Science Advisory," and, "Maps by," credit.

You better get it, and it sounds interesting, will it be on the Internet or a dead tree one?
