You've already found the Rainmeter suite it seems; you'll need to install Rainmeter first then only double click on the .rmskin file.

Hello,

I followed your advise and it works now however not perfectly... (also I don't see how uxstyle works? I installed it but how do I know it works? I read it works in the background? But it maybe doesn't work? Can't really check so should I use the other one called Universal Theme Patcher?

Some elements do not display well:

max and minimize in explorer + also the X symbol. The X symbol does show on hover but for the other two nothing shows when you hover over them.
start button is not changed
in time and date the hourglass still displays the vanilla.

I didn't know where to put timedate.tpl

Oh and also many icons are still vanilla. For example all the menu icons in explorer or disk icons for all the hard drives in my computer

I guess none of them ico files got applied.

Here's a little guide that might be helpful:

The Windows theme (visual style) can be found here, that includes the files you might not have yet, like start orb, and other system files:

For the Start orb, you'll have to use Start Orb Changer and the png file I've included; uxstyle is needed to apply the visual style; you'll have to take ownership of system files (like timedate.cpl) and rename them + copy mine over to make them work.

You have to manually change the icons for the taskbar following this guide:

Or use an application called Taskbar Items Pinner.

For the rest of the icons (explorer windows) you might either be able to replace them using a resource editor (hard, but free), or Stardock's IconPackager.

It's a bit hard to set a visual style up for a beginner, if you mail me later I'll make a little package that at least works way easier.
