So I've been wanting to draw this precious baby girl for a while now, and I'm just now getting around to trying. This is just a little warm-up practice doodle done on scrap paper. Granted, i had to use refs like crazy for that hair. It was a pain in the rear.Not going to lie, I LOVE the new Ms. Marvel title series. Kamala's an adorable, fun, and relatable character all around, and I'm going to keep up with the comic series. It's actually thanks to my friend ChaseYoungIsMine that I was informed about the title in the first place, as she had a feeling that I would love Kamala as a character when she saw her first little cameo in Point One. And boy was she right! I do NOT regret picking up this series at all, in spite of how much I tend to dislike the Marvel universe on the whole. And heck, if it weren't for all the shipping art I see of Kamala and Robbie Reyes on here (I'm starting to ship them myself, actually, and I'm not even totally sure why,) I wouldn't have picked up the All-New Ghost Rider series either! Robbie's also a precious baby, and I love him to death. I need to draw him as well at some point, and probably some cute shipping art of Kamala and Robbie. LOVE these kids!!

She's plain adorable and funny, a true believable character with flaws and I really hope the whole Marvel group will take her in consideration because she really deserves it !

Oh no don't worry about it ! A lot of people are actually very glad about the character and some of them are so thrilled they hope to see a movie about her one day !

I know there are definitely people out there who do dislike her, but hey, that's life. There will always be unreasonable people.

Well I must admit I stopped following marvel since "One more day", I found the speech against the comic book fans pretty offensive. Maybe I should get back to it

And I've always been sort of... leery about the Marvel universe in general. Typically, I've only really enjoyed the X-Men: Evolution show in the past. However, the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie was a ton of fun, and I love the new Ms. Marvel and the new Ghost Rider; they're absolutely precious and adorable characters, and if nothing else, they're Marvel comics worth reading.

In One More Day Peter encounters an alternate version of himself who is bespectacled, overweight and talks about how people who buy comics and video games are losers who don't have anything better to do with their lives. This character feels very much like a plug from writer/editor Joe Quesada who's vocal about how he hates comic fans. Being myself an athletic young blonde who gets good grades in college and has done modelling for a time I usually find his rants very insulting, boring and not-so-respectful for someone who's an editor at Marvel. So since the One more day storyline I boycott, I'm not going to buy something form someone who regards me as some kind of trash.
I completely agree with you about the X men evolution thing and the guardian of the galaxy, I already watched the movie three times ^^. Most of the Marvel movies are good tho, and I've always liked the Ghost Rider but we only get the more mainstream stuff in France

What in the name of all things sacred?! That's an asshole move! Ugh, just another reason for me to cling tighter to DC. I may not like a lot of things they're doing with the New 52, but I don't think they've ever downright just plugged something like that! Someone like Mr. Quesada doesn't deserve the job he has, if that's the case.
