It's fun to see your interpretation of her. I love Power Girl, but I must confess that I adore the idea of her having the cleavage window in her costume.
She is a very strong character and all the jokes people write with her is making me really smile.
But I like this costume and that you avoided using mascara on her. Will she be appearing in your fanfics soon ?

I love her to bits and pieces. I think the cleavage window is one of the easiest ways to recognize her, but I just think it's probably incredibly impractical. (Rubble probably goes flying and gets stuck there a lot in fights, and she probably has to constantly put up with that as an irritation, poor dear.) But she's an incredibly wonderful and strong character, and she takes it all with good humor, which is more reasons why I love her.
Β
And thank you so much, hon! ^^~ I'm so happy to hear that! I don't think there's anything wrong with mascara on most people, but I like her with the blonde eyelashes, as it makes her stand out a little more, and they're just as lovely. Aaaaannnd she might be.

You just summed up the exact reasons why I love Power Girl . Very well said, my friend.
And you're definitely right about the cleavage window. Ridiculous as it is, it is how she is recognized. And while I don't agree with it on an ideological level, it just has come to be part of her over the years, to me.
Your rendition of her is quite awesome!

daskhfalhdjklhakhsdahsksafdf I DID GOOD? 8D YAAAAAYYYY!!
Β
Yeah, that's kind of the same way for me. I think it's a bit ridiculous and often times probably highly irritating (can you imagine what it would be like to be in the middle of a fight and have rubble go flying and get stuck there?) but it's probably one of the easiest ways to recognize her.
Thank you so much, Phil dear! It really, really means a lot to me to hear that.

Β The New 52 made me realise just how much i liked her previous personality with all of her quirks, flaws and surly cat.

Oh? D: What did the New 52 change about her??
Also, please forgive me because I'm having trouble articulating this, but I cannot thank you enough for adding this sketch to your favorites. I am extremely honored that you liked it enough to favorite AND comment on it.

She's no longer so sarcastic, she's more interested in sex, and uses sex to obtain the technology to start her company. They also for a while did away with her "boob hole" but in every issue made her costume get torn to shreds leaving her in what was basically a torn bikini. It happened so much they even referenced it by issue 5 or 6.
She's no longer the PG we all know and love v.v She's now just some super-powered person with PG's name.

To make it worse Batwoman is gay and asked her girlfriend to marry her, but DC editorial has said she's not allowed to get married. So her team is leaving after issue #24, which is when I am also leaving the series.Β
They give Harley Quinn her first solo comic and it starts with her naked in a tub about to kill herself.
Any Wonder Woman/Superman cross over results in her relying on Superman.
Catwoman is just cleavage.
Harley's new costume is just cleavage.
WW and Zatana had a nice costumes with pants, now they no longer have pants.
I started out buying about 12 books in New 52, but after in the next month or two I will be down to just 1. Batgirl.
DC has ruined all of their female heroes for me and no of them are respectable anymore. I'm surprised they have not ruined Huntress yet.
(is very opinionated)

Yeah, I heard about that. I had a friend who was willing to give the New 52 a shot, and he was very optimistic and tried to hold out hope that things wouldn't be as bad as me and some of my other friends though, and he's a HUGE Batwoman fan. And then he read about that, and he also has declared that he will not put any more money into DC once Batwoman's team leaves after issue 24. It was really hard to see him get so devastated when he's been so optimistic all this time, and from what I've read up on it, Batwoman was one of the few things that DC was doing well that they have since destroyed.
The thing with Harley torqued me off. That is NOT anything near like what her character is. (That's one of the things on my huge list of why I hate the DC staff and the New 52.)
The whole thing with Wonder Woman and Superman is on that list too. I'm seriously annoyed that they're trying to force that "power couple" because it's degrading to Wonder Woman. Pairing her up with Batman previously wasn't the same thing; it said something positive about both their characters, and it was pretty well developed. But this? Nuh-uh.
Catwoman isn't just cleavage, apparently they've killed her off in some of the comics now, OH BUT SHE IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL IN HER OWN TITLE. And THAT was just a shock-death to get to Batman. >[
I feel like a lot of Harley's costumes have just gotten MORE and more degrading as time has gone on.
UGH. UGH. Just no. Stop, DC, stop.
I can't say that I blame you at all. Another of my friends is only getting the "villain takeover" title comics and after that, she's quitting until DC shapens up and changes their act.
It's just heartbreaking to hear that. Augh, and "yet" is probably the key word there. They're probably going to eventually do something horrid to her as well.
(Hey, nothing wrong with that. I'm in total concordance with your opinion, hon. Kudos to you! *highfive*)

That's something at least? Doesn't make me any less irritated at DC though. Seriously, they need to get their heads on straight.

On the whole her New 52 personality feels wrong, simply put she isn't Powergirl. I wrote a journal entry on it a while back fav.me/d622zlq .

GRHRGHRGRHRGHRGHR (sorry, I don't have much vocabulary tonight) I love her so much I think I could turn lesbian just for her ! ;^;Β
Love the pose you gave her, it fits her personnality quite well !
I'm neither a fan of Super Girl but I can't blame her because I think characters like her are pretty rare nowadays and I also think that somewhere every comics need peeps like her... But Power Girl rules in every fucking way !Β

(It's perfectly alright, my dear. ^^~) adnadflkahlhdfklajds;fjasdf I love her so much tooooo~ ;A; She's amazing.
Oooh, thank you! It was actually hard to pick a pose for her when I sat down and tried to sketch this out. There are so many poses that she could have, where she's flexing or showing off how strong she is or something...but after a few different poses that didn't turn out right, I wound up drawing this more demure, calm posture, and for some reason, I really like it.
I'm with you on that. There are always characters like Supergirl that are needed, and I think it's sad that there aren't enough characters like her for girls like her to relate to when they read comics, but I'm still not a huge fan of Supergirl. But Power Girl is yes, beyond cool and absolutely wonderful in every way there is!

Yes I can imagine how difficult it must be to find a pose for a girl like her ! I really like your choice, I find it very interesting and different from art we usually see about her ; I like the idea of giving her a steady pose, it suits her as much as a dynamic one ! I totally approve your decision !Β Β
I know what you mean, I feel the same ! It's always cool to see some strong-willed girls like Supergirl but I'm with you on the fact that there's something in her quite unpleasent.Β
But yes, Power Girl is definitely beyond cool !

KARRRREEEEEEENNNNN!!!!!!!! 8D
After you had me watch "Public Enemies", I adore her! Also that JL comic I've been following made me love her too!
& I'm not a big supergirl fan myself maybe it has to do with the fact in TNAB verse she looks like Alice & I wanted to throttle her but I maybe I'm just suspicious & hateful of most DC blonds except for Karen & Black Canary & Harley.
