I've seen this everywhere. Yes, I hate crack pairings, yes I hate hate pairings.NO, I will never, and I say NEVER comment on a drawing for the sole purpose of saying "this pairing is stupid blah blah blah, these characters don't even talk blah blah blah." Because I have manners.
Let's just excersize common decency here everyone.

Bless this. I've seen this happen on so many different occasions. Like, if you don't like a ship don't go commenting on the art/fanfiction that involves that ship. I mean, come on, people should know this by now.

Agreed! I see tons of pairings I despise every single day, but I sure as hell don't yell at the artist and insult them for liking it. In fact, I'd rather see comments like "Although I'm not too crazy about (insert pairing name), this is very cute ." than "WTF is wrong with you, they're not lovers! Stop drawing them you fucking moron!", and I should know because I've received comments like this before on a certain noncanon pairing I support, and it';s nowhere near being a crack pairing -_-

Agreed. I'll never say "BAW THIS CAN'T HAPPEN! THIS SUCKS TAKE IT DOWN KILLITWITH FIRE!"...honestly I'd let them do what they do and leave them alone.

I think that if I click on something and it turns out to be something I hate, I have the right to comment on it. But if it's something I can tell from the thumb and title that I will hate, I'm not gonna go comment and be a dickwad.

I don't think it's rude.... I think it's just giving an opinion. I couldn't care less if someone hated my art.

There's a difference in saying, "Well, I don't like the pairing..." and "This paring is stupid, you're stupid, stop drawing it." The latter is pretty rude, but I agree. An opinion in and of itself is perfectly fine.

Well, most people do. They acknowledge the negativity and it doesn't sit right with them even if it doesn't make them super upset. 
I'm more defensive than most, so I do get upset. Granted, I don't let it show, but I do care. I also care when someone gives me a more positive opinion. I appreciate it. I don't appreciate as much, but I respect a negative opinion presented in a nice way.
Also, someone calling you stupid is hardly an opinion if they don't know you, which is usually the case. It's just them being mean and trying to get under your skin.

I think it's okay to say 'to be honest I do not support this pairing, however I feel the drawing is good/bad/reminds me of bananas/ect.

The artwork can be great! In that case just leave a comment saying "I love how this is drawn" or something else like that. But many people just comment on drawings to say how stupid and dumb a pairing is.

I don't normally look at slash, so I haven't seen much of that - but knowing how ridiculously seriously people take a show/game/book/etc it doesn't surprise me that people are more concerned with the pairing than the art work. This is deviantART not devianteveryonehastolikethesamepairingsasme.
