Yes, you heard me right: I'd regret having children.

"But how would you know? You're not a parent!"

Easy, I know parenting isn't for me. I never wanted kids, ever. I hate kids, I think they're loud, noisy, shit filled little brats that would cost me over 50 grand over the course of 18 years. Saying that I have no clue what I'm talking about because I'm not a parent is like saying a person who want kids have no clue what they're talking about because they want kids. There's no end to it!

"You're only young, you'll change your mind!"

Will I? How do you know, did you invent a time machine and go to the future and see me with 8 kids? Ha! Even when I was younger, I knew I didn't want kids. I remember my mother asking me if I ever wanted children when I was 7, I told her I didn't want any.

"But what about when you're old and have no one to look after you?"

Wait, so I should go and ruin my life by popping out a little fuck trophie out, just so I might have somewhere there for me when I'm older? There's no guarantee that your kid will look after you anyway, they might just throw you in an old folks home and leave you there till you die. It's not worth the risk.

"If everyone thought like you, the human race would go extinct!"

Well not everyone does think like me, so don't bloody worry! Besides, if more people thought like you, the human race would eventually go extinct anyway when the worlds resources gets drained down to the last McDonalds Burger and we all eventually kill ourselves in a huge war over the last drop of water. Besides, the human race is a virus on this planet, leeching from the back of mother earth like a pesky pack of fleas, this would would be fine without us. Fuck that, it would be BETTER without us. 7 billion people is enough!

"But my Geans!"

Are no great contribute to society. You might think you're some great special snowflake, but in reality you're just like everyone else. Why does the world need more people like you? What have you done that's contributed to the human race in a positive way? You're not making a replica of yourself, you're making a whole new person. If you're having children on the basis that they might turn out like you, you ought to re-think about wanting children, because you're too self-centered to look after a child.

"Having a kid is the most important fulfilling things a person can do with their life."

Bollocks. Anyone who believes that lacks the imagination to do anything else. What have I done that's been fulfilling so far in the first 18 years of my life? I saved my mother and brothers life, I was the glue that kept my family together in a time of hardship and most important of all: I have a half decent education. That's a lot more than what would be said for a high percentage of parents out there who ruined their lives by popping out some fuck trophies at the age of 16 because they thought babies were cute and cuddly and would make their relationship stronger.

"You're selfish!"

I'm not denying I'm selfish, there's a bit of truth to that. But guess what? You're just as selfish for giving birth. Give me one non-selfish reason for adding more human beings to this world. I know babies can be cute and sweet when they're young, but they grow up. They turn into horrible, loud, screaming toddlers, that grow into kids that are so stupid and annoying you just want to tear your hair out that then turn into pre-teens that are just so fucking infuriating there's no words to describe it that THEN turn into the early years of being a teenager, where they think they know everything/end up taking drugs/drinking alcohol/get pregnant/joins a fucked up cult. I'd rather spare myself from that by not having kids.

"I'm making sacrifices! Glory to me!"

Awww. Shut the fuck up. You became a parent because you decided to do so because of your own selfish reasons. You made the choice, you took the plunge but I'm not going to praise you for it. You did what a flea-ridden dog could do on the side of a filthy street, you don't deserve a medal for it, you did what every single species on this planet has done since the beginning of time. You get things like child benefits and maternity leave and shit like that, you don't deserve everyone's respect just because you did what billions of other people have done in the past, and billions more will continue to do in the future.
