Gandalf is always high as fuck, talking to bears and shit

So much for drawn-out displays of cleverness and wit! On with the movie!

Even the trueth can make people (dwarfs) speechless.

Just because it's in a book doesn't mean it should be in the movie. (Meaning there are some things in the book that shouldn't be in the movie)

Hahaha! Oh man that's good. I had to read it twice to get the joke, but that was pretty damn funny.

Sorry, I don't understand it could you please explain it to me?

Ok, so in the movie the whole group runs into Beorn's house all at once since said Beorn is chasing them.

In the book, originally they enter in a pair at a time (except Bombur cuz 'he's fat!'), which takes up several pages of reading to get through while Gandalf is explaining everything to Beorn (who isn't chasing them), and who gets annoyed to say the least to constantly have more and more people show up.

The joke being that this is a what-if of if the movie played that scene from the book out, and Beorn got royally pissed off about it (hence Thorin's line at the top).

With a secondary joke being that 'just because it was in the book, doesn't mean it was better'. A point I agree on with YOUR in this case, as the Beorn scene is an absolute drag for me to read anytime I reread The Hobbit.

Actually, they did film something similar to the scene in the book that you describe For some reason they decided to leave it out in the original cut... It's in the extended version though, and I also think someone put the scene on Youtube!

Ah, that I did not know. I haven't watched the extended cut of the film if it's out.

It's out and I'd highly recommend it. Even the scene you mentioned isn't dragged out as you would expect.
