This is based on the recent issue of Transmission:

Linda; now five months pregnant heard from a friend that the gender of a baby can be determined by if the mother craves either sugary food or savory food. Linda is craving both.

Now Linda and Russ have told Howard and Nick about the situation. Howard came up with three options:

1. The friend is a different species so the things are different with her.

2. The baby is transgender.

3. Linda is carrying fraternal twins.

In any case, given how tech savvy Linda is, she hasn't gone for an ultrasound to make a more definitive determination on the gender of the baby.
